Preparing an Article Manuscript using Elsevier Journal LaTeX Template

- This is Elsevier's new document class for typeset journal articles, elsarticle.cls. It is now accepted for submitted articles, both in
Elsevier's electronic submission system and elsewhere. The
elsarticle.cls is based upon the standard LaTeX document class
article.cls. It uses natbib.sty for bibliographical references.

Is it acceptable to add "\usepackage{amsmath}" because I didn't find it in their own template ?

I am not getting this. The journal said, pdf manuscript alongside all in Latex file, I did not understand.
Yes, they mean your main document generated by latex should be submitted along with all source files. Latex source in mostly in one zip file may contain main tex file, bib file, class and any other style files provided by journal, and all images.

@@chandrahashbti Thx , I managed to transfer all the latex content from IEEE Access to Elsevier template. I t works fine but the references are not working (error: citation...undefined) eventhough i have my BibTex Database .bib file present at the working folder. Also in my tex file , I did "\bibliographystyle{elsarticle-num} and \bibliography{bibfile}" . Any idea why ? I followed your suggestion but still didnt work. I noticed .bbl file is missing! Is it automatically generated? Why in Ieeetrans, it is there but not in elsevier template? Thx.

I followed same procedure using windows 10. i get warning elsarticle class not found, although it compiles but equations are extra large and top and bottom of page has extra space.
Pease use the template provided in description box. It contains class file.

There are no separate templates for research and review articles. You can download the template from the video description box or ctan or Elsevier website.

Yes, linewidth is perfect as it maintains the aspect ratio. You can use width=1\linewidth.

You need to go to their profile on the institute website, or in some cases, their personal website. Since you have already written a paper and you are going to submit it, you must be knowing the potential reviewers in your field (you can find references from your paper). Remember you (and your mentor) should not have any past/present collaboration with the reviewers.
how we can ORCID ID in the journal template?
You only need to add orcid id in your account that you create on a particular journal website.
