We have 3 of the mars 400 rx/transmitters and they are quite good. We've used them occasionally but again (as you said) only as a last resort. We'll be using them for an awards broadcast in October on cameras that we can't get cables to. Line of sight is very important for smooth transmission.
We use a Teradek Bolt Pro 1000 for streaming a live follow cam for skateboard events. It works great but interference is a real issue so testing on location is critical.
We stream an annual high power rocketry competition. Spectators are literally thousands of feet away from the launch for safety. So we introduced remote robotic cameras and utilized long range Wifi transmitters to receive the video into vmix. For the 2023 event, we want to utilize roaming interview cameras so this is perfect timing for the topic! Time to budget and test, test, test!
You're not going to get thousands of feet of range from the mars 400. 400 feet maybe if you have perfect line of sight. We've broadcast through walls with it, but range was reduced.
We use a very similar setup for sideline cameras streaming sports 🏈 ⚽️ 🏀 We have used Hollyland Cosmo C1 with a BirdDog FlexIn Backpack with great success. With the BirdDog FlexIn Backpack you just need I ethernet cable with POE to encode to NDI and power the Cosmo C1 reciver
Can you do a video about using the ADVANCED mode for remote guests using Vcall? I've only found one video about it online would be great to be able to point guests to a how to. I invite a bunch of live streamers on my Amazon Live stream and many of them are used to using Stream yard and the easy ability to switch cameras, mics, etc AFTER connecting rather than going through before hand and having it default to pick the built-in webcam and mic rather than being easily able to switch after connecting. Using the Advanced seems to have helped this but we need a VMIX video tutorial for guests.
I've used advanced vcall with guests and it is brilliant! Easy to use and solid... With screen sharing. So good. I've had 3 guests online simultaneoisly on adv vcall. No hitches.

I have been using Vmix software and wireless transmitters for church service for almost 5 years and live streaming sessions were perfect. Issues came recently when I started using HOLLYLAND MARS 400S PRO, I find it there is no synchronization of sound and video on my program. What can be the source of the problem and how can fix it?
@@anaeboifeanyi5543 the problem I ran into is with a multicamera system, where only one camera is wireless, you can't delay the audio and keep all the other cameras in synch, right? If I'm wrong please tell me how to do it
Audio syncs perfect with its own video as it's transmitting a/v together. However there is a few frames latency from real time of you are using a detached audio source. Make sure you have good line of sight between the tx and rx. Overall though the latency is acceptable... But not as good as some of the more expensive systems (teradeks)
I ALWAYS USE HOLLYLAND MARS 400S PRO FOR OUR CHURCH BROADCAST, BUT RECENTLY ONE OF THEM DID NOT WORK AGAIN. THE TRANSMITTER, WILL POWER AND GO OFF WHILE THE RECEIVER NOT ON AT ALL, EITHER WITH BATTERY OR POWER ADAPER. PLEASE HELP, WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED IT.@ LEAST 4 OF THEM IN MY REACH
The Mars 400s Pro has been disappointing for two reasons: * The built-in cold shoe mount nut strips easily * No HDMI or SDI pass-through as the Mars 300 and 300 Pro have.
@@rawlinsdiaz A pass-through is just an HDMI or SDI out. You can use such a feature as a splitter. For example HDMI out from a laptop to the transmitter and out from the transmitter to a monitor or projector, and take the wireless into the production switcher (vMix).
I keep telling Heath (when he answers my support questions) he's a star! ✨
I’ve used this device many times when I add an extra camera into vMix, for our church service.

We use the Hollyland 421s - awesome bit of kit that allows network at each camera. Also have the Cosmo and 4K ones as well for on gimbal.

For ENG you can use a smartphone and SRT via a 5G network.
Thanks

Using audio delay on vmix to match the video should solve the problem

Hi, it would be best to contact Hollyland as they should be able to help you out.
Does one have to connect with ndi? Can i connect the wireless transmitter to the pc/vmix with HDMI cable ?
Yes, if you have a capture card you could connect the receiver to that 03:16

Totally agree with the cold shoe. Broke Really fast. What do you mean with pasa through ?
