This is a filler arc actually done right. Even author liked it and adopted some of the humanised drawings of the zenpakutos to his manga. I really liked this arc.

The only thing i don't get is why mayuri never used his banki it was never lost its a modify banki so its not effected. Nanao really tries to get along with her uncles zampacto sprits.
