🤣🤣🤣don’t die! Lol watching u throw books by candles, she’s a rebel, she’s gorgeous, she looks like Linda Evangelista 💅🏽she could walk out here in a diaper & we’d say Jordaline your smile is beautiful 😻
I feel like in order to enjoy My Year of Rest and Relaxation you have to fully give into the fugue state feeling as you are reading it. I was immediately sucked into that feeling and also absolutely identified with just wanting to check out for a year and let all of the cells in my body reset. I understand why people don’t like the main character but it was a very interesting reading experience for me.
John dies at the end is one of my all time favorites. It's horror comedy. I didn't even know that type of genre of book existed. It also does have some unsettling creepy scenes too. Overall 10/10. This book collector will be looking for a pristine hardcover copy. ☺️
I greatly enjoyed Sometimes I Lie. I'd rec you keep and read that one. 😊 And you are hysterical. I always know I'll laugh and have a good time watching your videos. The candle/book throwing...🤣
I read "My year of rest and relaxation" not long after my husband passed away and I spent 2 years in bed during the pandemic. I was living in Maine with my daughter and her husband. I hated Maine. Now I live back in Kansas. I literally only went out to walk my dog. I was so depressed. I should have written that book. She went out more than I did! It was okay, but not what I thought it would be.
I loved Sourdough because me and my dad both work/worked in Biotech, my dad also bakes sourdough, is from the Bay Area, and is into weird spiritual stuff.. if you’ve read it you know this checks soo many boxes 🥖
I really didn’t like The Chalk Man either but I gave CJ another chance with The Burning Girls and liked it a lot more! It wasn’t a perfect 5 star but I definitely enjoyed reading it.
Not a FAN of mass market paperback????? Old school mmp is my favorite format to read in. I literally have a thriftbooks wishlist full of vintage horror paperbacks
I LOVED death note, I had the black and white death note book you showed and read it at least 20 times. I definitely think it'd be worth watching the anime sometime. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it
Absolutely love Sourdough by Robin Sloan 😭 Maybe give it a chance, I only picked it up because Ariel Bissett from Books Unbound recommended it but I was not disappointed. Was a 5 star read for me! 😊
i’ve read both cathrynne m valente books and loved them equally! i’d say if you liked the dark fairytale vibes of cmwa you should give deathless a try 🖤
I second Deathless. Fabulous book. Fabulous author. As for Jeff Vandermeer’s Southern Reach trilogy I implore you to read Acceptance. Those three books combine into one whole masterpiece.
Deeplight is an incredible steampunk/cosmic horror book that got me out of reading slump last year. I'd definitely recommend keeping and giving it a shot!
How do YOU do it? Your amazing 😻 Queen ♥️💙 your make looks amazing ! And if your unhauling you should give away your books to us 😩 I love all your books!
I’m halfway through it right now. It’s for sure captured my interest but I hope it picks up a bit soon. I’m generally a fan of CJ Tudor so I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
As a Big Gay Autistic King that suffers from body love issues, I appreciate your affirmations in your videos. Also, I recently discovered that I am basically an old lady that loves cozy mystery books. So starting a massive haul of Agatha Christie books, but I do need to unhaul a bunch of books I will never read. You are so relatable.
I really liked Everything I Never Told You, but it's important to keep in mind that it's not a thriller or mystery at all, I'd say it's a sad family drama.
Dude My year of rest and relaxation is so0o0o good it’s an awesome book about unhinged woman, otessa moshfegh is literally my queen , plus if you want a wild book try certain hunger by Chelsea G summers it reminded me of American psycho but a feminist Version were all the hot man die horribly. 🥰🥰🥰 let me know if you love it 🖤
The Book Leo keeps talking about A Certain Hunger and I want to read it so bad! Loved Tender is the Flesh 📕 and Fresh 🎥 so I’m sure it’s right up my alley.
You should definitely give John Dies At The End a second chance. It’s more a horror comedy than straight horror, definitely has it’s messed up, weird moments and the story is wild. There is also a movie if you’d rather give that a try.
Hey hun. Id be very curious to know your thoughts on the graphic novel series "Morning glories" by Image comics. I think you'd definitely fuck with it xxx
Yes! Mouthful of Birds was so underwhelming! I kept waiting for some sort of punchline-something to really wow me-but most of the stories kinda flatlined for me.
Nooooooo, Sourdough is SO charmingly wonderful! I love his books, Mr. Penumbra is a bit better though. And My Year of Rest and Relaxation is fantastic too.
omg you need to watch death note its what got me into anime. i would also try rest and relaxation by otessa moshfegh and I heard emmie talk about Frankenstein in Baghdad the other day and it sounds really cool
If you like Lindy West you may like Samantha Irby. She's amazing and I love her honesty. The Mother In Law was kind of fun, but ultimately just OK. Sometimes I Lie was fun. P.S. I'd love to know what happened with KPB. I'm so nosy, sorry.
I understand completely if you do not want to say but why do you hate Keelan Patrick Burke. I have tried to do some research myself and cannot really find anything. He lives in the same town as me.
Sometimes I hate watching these bcs there are like 7 books your getting rid of I'm like ugh I've been waiting on that book to go on sale or find it cheaper lol
Ok so what’s the tea with Kellan Patrick Burke? I’ve been trying to google any recent controversies but nothing is really coming. I got a couple of his books for Christmas but don’t want to support a shitty person!
I read and the trees crept in and were disappointed Repetitive, slow, the ending didn't surprise me, it has major YA vibes which aren't my thing soooooo I'd say don't bother.
Wait, why do we hate K. Patrick Burke? I want to know so I can hate him with you!!! Especially seeing as you almost burned the house down, that’s true hate. Telllll meeeeee….ok, love you 😁
I screamed when you threw that book by those candles 😂
omg i'm petty AND an arsonist. 😂
"Effortless and stunning" LOL I love you!!
The PRIDE I feel watching this is IMMENSE!!!!

"I bought it because there was a cat on the cover" okay me xD

If you liked a CJ Tudor I would at least try the Burning Girls, I really enjoyed it. Good spooky church/cemetery/abandoned house energy

Yes! Burning girls was very good!

You bought a Japanese book because of the cat 😂 I can't!
I greatly enjoyed Sometimes I Lie. I'd rec you keep and read that one. 😊 And you are hysterical. I always know I'll laugh and have a good time watching your videos. The candle/book throwing...🤣
You need to keep And The Trees Crept In! For a YA novel, I thought it was very thought provoking. It was a fun read.
I read "My year of rest and relaxation" not long after my husband passed away and I spent 2 years in bed during the pandemic.

Don’t burn the house down! 🤣🤣🤣🔥🕯 I bought a book the other day called Cat Magic by Whitley Strieber because… Cat! 😻
Absolutely love Sourdough by Robin Sloan 😭

Sourdough is one of my favorite books ever 😅 I don't think you'd personally like it jordaline, but it's so good
I loved and the trees crept in!! Very creepy and unsettling
Keep darling rose gold it’s so fun and such a binge read!
Deeplight is an incredible steampunk/cosmic horror book that got me out of reading slump last year. I'd definitely recommend keeping and giving it a shot!
hmmmm... maybe i will bahahah omg this whole unhaul is about to become a "re"haul 😂
Loved Shrill by Lindy West! The audiobook is read by her I believe, gorgeously written, sincere and funny thoughts on being a fat woman
How do YOU do it? Your amazing 😻 Queen ♥️💙 your make looks amazing ! And if your unhauling you should give away your books to us 😩 I love all your books!
Just finished Everything I never told you and it’s glorious 😀
The Burning Girls was actually really good. It was a gothic thriller and I really enjoyed it
I’m halfway through it right now. It’s for sure captured my interest but I hope it picks up a bit soon. I’m generally a fan of CJ Tudor so I’m sure it won’t disappoint.
Great unhaul. 💚👻
You should try Burning Girls!! Olivia likes it too 👍🏻
you should pick like 5 of these books to read and make a video (or series) out of this!!
The Burning Girls was a binge read 5 star for me!!

You would love Olivia Reads A Latte and Meg and The Books’s RUclips channels in case you didn’t know
@@Hillary429 Thanks for the recommends:)
Great unhaul! 📚☕🌈
You should try and give the woman in cabin 10 another try. I gets better after 60% in lol
girl if I'm not in by 60%, it's not worth it 😂
Costco!!!! I know the feeling!
okay but the burning girls was good 👀
okay i might keep it... >.>
Now I want a vlog of you reading the After series...
ABSOLUTELY NOT 😂😂
I liked the burning girls
Think haunted house and murder mystery
Jordaline, you're the best.
I really liked Everything I Never Told You, but it's important to keep in mind that it's not a thriller or mystery at all, I'd say it's a sad family drama.
a love a good sad family moment in the right moment. I could get behind it 😌🥰
Can't wait to see this!!!!
maybe this makes me a snake but i want to know the kpb tea so bad😅😅
It's so hard for me to get rid of books 😂
I've read most (if not all) C. J. Tudor books and really really disliked The Burning Girls. You're not missing out.
🥰🥰🥰 let me know if you love it 🖤
Okay both of those sound amazing 😲💖
I recently read Eileen by Mosfegh and I second keeping My Year Of Rest and Relaxtion
The Book Leo keeps talking about A Certain Hunger and I want to read it so bad! Loved Tender is the Flesh 📕 and Fresh 🎥 so I’m sure it’s right up my alley.

I may give it another go...
If this was me I'd get rid of all the Song of Ice and Fire, and the announcement for Winds of Winter would come out the next day!
BAHAHAHA omg IF THAT HAPPENS
You should definitely keep and read The Burning Girls. I was also mediocre on The Chalk Man but gave The Burning Girls five stars.
SCREAMS very critical of horror books but just wanted to say that I LOVED THE BURNING GIRLS I GAVE IT 5 STARS 😔🤘
Hey hun. Id be very curious to know your thoughts on the graphic novel series "Morning glories" by Image comics. I think you'd definitely fuck with it xxx

I think you would be perfect at asmr!
I enjoyed The Haunted by Bentley Little…. 🤷♀️😂
I understand completely if you do not want to say but why do you hate Keelan Patrick Burke. I have tried to do some research myself and cannot really find anything. He lives in the same town as me.

I'd also like to know
Kealan's a really nice guy. So maybe she just doesn't like his writing style?
I don't think anything happened
She said it’s a personal reason in the comments on her last unhaul.
Thank you!
I read the Haunting or Haunted whatever tf it's called. Hated it. Get rid if my copy too lolololol
Why do you suddenly hate K.P. Burke. I have skin on my list because you hyped it up so much. Same for Blanky.
Ohhhhh can I get that black klansman book? Name your price!!!!
But you really gotta read “bring me back” it was too good!!!!
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
Can you please start an ASMR channel?! 🤩💖
lowkey think you need to keep the georgia nicolson series JUST so you can re-read them all for a video then unhaul them
Kealan Patrick Burke is problematic?!?!? What happened???? Post a link or something
Oh please do read... Everything I Never told you. It was so sad and excellently written in my point of view.
You buying books because there are cats on the cover 🤣🤣x
WAIT! Did I miss something? You don’t like KPB anymore? Or was that sarcasm and you just don’t like the story? I’m so lost 😭🤣
The Mars Room was one of the worst books I've ever read. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
okay GOOD TO KNOW
I read and the trees crept in and were disappointed
Repetitive, slow, the ending didn't surprise me, it has major YA vibes which aren't my thing soooooo I'd say don't bother.
I have to get rid of it 😂😂
I read girl on a train and honestly it was blah (not good at all)
Ah no! Keep The Burning Girls!
The burning girls is pretty offensive TBH and also bad
The mother in law is soooooo boring
bahahaha okay it's going!
Wait, why do we hate K. Patrick Burke? I want to know so I can hate him with you!!! Especially seeing as you almost burned the house down, that’s true hate. Telllll meeeeee….ok, love you 😁
