Good video. That GT 430 performed a lot better than I thought it would. I had that card on an oem sff pc with a e8400 cpu and it struggled to play BF3 online. I guess the old 2 core cpu was too weak for it.

"So that means that the GT 430, a 12 years old GPU is faster than the GT 710" Oh wow. That shows how things have evolved in the wrong way in terms of GPU's. Good video btw!
I had a GT 430 back in 2012, it came in a pre build pc from amazon. That pc also had an infamous amd FX cpu (FX 4100)... I remember that it could barely run world of tanks at 15-25 fps on medium or low settings ( i don't remember).

I was still using GT 430 until 2 days ago. Now I got RX 580 8GB. The 430 gave me playable fps in dota 2, valorant and csgo. But in very potato quality. After watching this, I'm still amazed.
If you have this GPU (like me) you can run source games pretty well and minecraft with a good 100+ fps on vanilla graphics settings even with a very old CPU (but my gt 430 isnt working so now im watching this video 😢)
8:33 explanation of because the gpu is stuck at 90%, this is a really high vram bound scenario when the gpu passes more time storing information and deleting textures that are on vram but not on the screen, than actually displaying it, every gpu does that, due to timings there is always a little peice of time when the cuda cores are not doing anything because they need to load textures, but the performance impact is not so huge.
My first gpu!!!! As much flack the gt series gets, the gt 430 was great for 8-14 year old me. Then I got the gtx 980 a couple months after launch, rocked that until early 2022, now a 6900xt.
It's funny isn't it, when you turn all the graphics settings to low on ARK how it resembles the late 90s Jurassic Park PC game Trespasser - if you don't know what that is give it a Google.
Aside from the fact that CSGO is probably the most CPU-intensive game I know, next time when you benchmark CSGO play on servers with a 128 tickrate, it makes a huge difference in fps, and in competitive gaming, it's the only tickrate you play on. Testing the game on 64 tickrate makes no sense. On tickrate 128 you may see even 100 fps less on average depending on your CPU!
The 430 outperforms the 630M, but falls short from 710. 430 is PCIe 2.0 x16 whilst 710 is PCIe 2.0 x8. Similar, but 710 is a little bit faster. Maybe your impression is because of driver optimization.
This was my first gpu i salvaged it from a dump. Used it for years. Then it lived on the floor of my car for years getting kicked all the time. It still works i fitted a larger passive cooler and just use it for testing motherboards now.
