Thought that running a stringed lines is to at least work to them and those are some way over the top cement courses I run mine approximately 10 mm he could have gotten another brick course in that lower half plus the concrete slab is far to thin no matter what baring you use to strengthen it the heat will crack it,. Apart from that it was an interesting build to watch

I was going to build a pizza oven. But i got a home oven that will bake 5 ~18" pizza, I got a offset smoke that will Cook 7~ 18" pizzas, I got a Weber Kettle that will cook 1 ~ 18" pizza so its silly for me to buy or build one. All you need is 18" pizza pans and a short pizza peel. Besides the pan cooks the bottom better than a Pizza stone does!
WARNING- if you use this video as a guide to build your own brick oven, you will likely have a dangerous situation once you heat the brick oven up. He uses the wrong mortar and brick for this application.
He seemed to skip some (what I believe to be important features) steps in making this oven. If it works for them as a low heat oven then it still may not have a very long life span.

Standard clay brick and mortar should be avoided in high heat environments. You need to use firebrick and firebrick mortar because the temperatures you want to achieve in the oven is refractory type. BUT it’s not just about the materials, you have to understand thermodynamics better to shape a oven suited for the purpose and to survive many heating up and cooling off cycles that will be inevitable if the oven is enjoyed often. Typical brick may explode when heated to oven temperatures.

The fire doesn't go below it goes up top where the pizza slides in but he didn't put a vent out the top I guess all that heat just comes out the door
