18 Beechwood Boulevard Yantic Shed Fire

At 9:50 am on Wednesday, 1/17/2024 the Yantic Fire Department with Norwich Squad A, Truck 1 and Battalion 1 were dispatched to 18 Beechwood Boulevard for a shed fire near the home. Truck 1 arrived at 9:57 with a well involved shed.
Squad A stretched a 200’ 1.75” crosslay up the driveway and began attacking the fire. Engine 31 arrived next and also stretched a 1.75” hose line. Engine 33 then arrived and established the water supply for both engines. Crews quickly extinguished the fire with 2 lines and overhauled the contents. Battalion 1 had command and Car 30 was operations. The Norwich Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
