Fire Trucks Responding Compilation - Best of 2020

- Here is a collection of some of my best response videos from 2020. All videos are organized chronologically. A complete list of the units featured in this compilation, with timestamps and links to the full original videos can be found below.
Although 2020 presented a lot of hardships for everyone, it was an extremely successful year for my channel. I was able to catch many new departments and even more new apparatus for the first time. Towards the end of September, I began an every-other-day upload schedule, allowing me to upload much more consistently, and I haven’t missed a day since! Finally, in November, I surpassed 10,000 subscribers - a day that I never imagined I would see when I first started my channel. I cannot thank all of my subscribers enough for their support this year! Looking ahead into to 2021, I plan on maintaining my every-other-day upload schedule and already have videos lined up for the next few weeks, including at least one more compilation. I hope everyone will enjoy what’s to come and I'm excited to see what 2021 brings!

I love to hear the sirens blaring and those massive horns honking. It's like a super hero theme song to me.
One of my greatest accomplishments was being a Firefighter for Arvada Fire department, god bless and stay safe out there.

12:00 very rare Whelen siren on the Hazmat rig. Whelen Alpha 12Q. Federal Signal sued Whelen over how close it sounds to a Federal Q. This siren also predated the EQ2B.

As much as LEDs may have their advantages, I still like lightbars with all those rotating beacons like on the truck in the back at 2:57 so much more.

@@Eng78ine68 They have their place ;) Still like strobes as well. LEDs sure are better visible in bright, sunny conditions, but at night, strobes just get your attention better, while LED usually just blinds the shit out of everything and everyone.

Okay... I only noticed it the second time viewing: what's up with all those chains hanging down from some vehicles at the rear axle?
Those are automatic snow chains.
9:10 can someone explain to me why that truck has “fire police” written on the side of it? Please tell me they aren’t making firefighters be cops now. The paramedic requirement merge was bad enough. What do these communities want?
Fire Police, sometimes referred to as "Fire Patrol" is just traffic/pedestrian control at emergency scenes or events. It's a term that has been around for a long time. Around here, many fire police companies transitioned into rescue companies over time, which is the case with the truck at 9:10. Many departments also have designated fire police vehicles - like an SUV or pickup truck - that carries barricades, cones, etc. It's a common term in the Northeast, US.
how come the port chester station, the trucks all had different company names on the trucks
Because the trucks are operated by three different companies.

Yes, I put a lot of time into specifically trying to catch new deliveries this past year. I'm putting together a compilation of all of the new deliveries I caught that should go up around the beginning of February. I'm still trying to catch one or two more, including Engine 96, in these next few weeks.

Holly crap. The whole Ossining, Croton, Peekskill area was my old work grounds. Remember when they took that big hump out of Rt 9 and re-did Main St. I was there to replace the old telephone central office. Don't think I'd recognize much from the 80's anymore. Is "The Old Stone Wall" Irish pub still there?

Unfortunately, I don't have enough ambulance response videos to make a compilation, but if you search "ambulance" on my channel, you will find any individual videos of ambulances that I have.

Thank you! I don't use a tripod; I wouldn't have the time to set one up in many of these cases. My camera has built-in stabilization, which definitely helps a lot.
