What a wet day and a farce!
Avanti West Coast Pendolino 390047 had a problem just south of Rugeley Trent Valley and buggered up the West Coast Mainline.
Belfour Beatty/RailAdventure 20901 & 20905 worked the drainage train to Crewe ready for a job the following day.
70000 ''Britannia'' was on a test run from Crewe to Crewe via Shrewsbury
Transport For Wales 197010 & 197014 worked Crewe to Tyseley for wheel turning
Direct Rail Services 57308 ''Jamie Ferguson'' was sent out to rescue 390047 but spent most of the time at Stafford before finally going to help. the passengers on 390047 which was working 1S58 London Euston to Glasgow Central all got put on 221107 & 221108 to ferry them to Stafford only to put them on other Scotland bound services that were already full and got even more full. it was a bloody farce and some on the passengers were ready to fight!
