  • How finding your niche will help you defeat the odds with Sharmadean Reid MBE | Ep. 16, Working Hard Hardly Working Podcast
Sharmadean Reid MBE is a leading female entrepreneur, business owner and beauty visionary on a mission to digitally connect like-minded females. In 2021 she started her latest venture, The Stack World, an exclusive sorority-like platform for female leaders, founders and entrepreneurs to connect and share experiences.
As a serial entrepreneur with three impressive start-ups, Sharmadean has a wealth of experience in business to share. Before launching the Stack, Sharmadean first took the beauty industry by storm, receiving an MBE for her first business We Arent Hoes (WAH) Nails. The salon was ‘the salon' to get pampered, featuring at events for global brands including Nike, Marc Jacobs and Diesel. Using the whopping $4 million raised in pre-seed funding, Sharmadean then proceeded to develop her next business ‘Beautystack’ a digital platform for inspirational beauticians to showcase their work. Expanding her life-long mission for female-driven empowerment, Sharmadean then launched The Stack, becoming just 1 of 10 female founders to secure venture capital funding in the last decade.
Sharmadean’s story is one of undeniable hard work, drive and passion. She’s not only a thought visionary and leader but an inimitable champion in creating a safe space for women to speak out about their own experiences.

I've followed Wah Nails since 2012 until they closed and Sharmadean for a few years but this has been the most in depth interview I've watched. So many of my questions answered. Sharmadean is one of a kind, didn't want the podcast to end. Amazing job, Grace!

Amazing black Entrepeneur, thank you grace for showing all groups of entrepreneurs and someone who hasn't fully made it the opportunity to be on your platform. She isn't great at being concise a bit long to watch.
