You obviously didn't watch the all-star game. LeBron called for an iso against Kobe several times in the final minutes of the game and he couldn't do shit to Kobe. He got his jump shot blocked, he tried to body Kobe and drive on him, and as soon as he went up for the lay-up he got his shit blocked again. LeBron is lunch for Kobe 1 on 1. He doesn't have the arsenal and skill set Kobe does, nor the same competitive drive to be the best.

Hell no. When this video came out in 2011, Dwade was def better than KD and this is literally indisputable. In 2012 Dwade was also still better. KD only became into the conversation in 2014 because analysts needed a new player to talk highly about and now he is possibly the best scorer but overall he has never been better than Lebron James, Kobe or Dwade in their prime.
In your defense KD was def better than Dwade when you made the comment, but KD was not being your definition of humble.

Kobe is the best one v one player of all time. He has literally mastered every conceivable shot.
Plus, in 1v1 games, the ability to score in a variety of ways is paramount. No one, not even MJ, had/has more moves than Kobe (purely based on Kobe having better range than MJ/everything else equal). You can't just bulldoze your way to the rim like LeBron does in a 1v1 because you don't get those running starts. Everything is in front of the defender. Kobe wins a game of 21 with a 21-16 score.

  • @Amgbenz0
    @Amgbenz0 11 лет назад +47

Of course an LBJ fan would say that John Wall, the ONLY guy that picked LeBron, had a "reasonable choice". Did you forget that Barnes hated Kobe at one point? Did you forget that the Lakers knocked Kevin Durant out of the playoffs more times then the Heat did? Did you also forget that Ariza was on the Hornets when this video was made? And lastly, did you forget what Kobe did to LBJ in the 2013 All-Star game when LeBron tried taking Kobe 1 on 1?

    • @josedelarosa5424

Kobe is so used to getting double and triple teamed that 1on1 is nothing to him, I'd pick him again'st almost anyone (except jordan) on a 1 on 1 game.

Please take a moment to admire the great LeBron for the special talent he is. It never gets old looking at the King's history. So many accomplishments Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan will never achieve:
1.Only player in NBA history to quit because of Air Conditioner.
2.Quit on his team the year after he promises a championship.
3.Dunked on by a high school kid then confiscates the tape.
4.Bail on the dunk contest 9 times.
5.Only able to win a ring with 2 superstars.
6.Play on same team as his moms boyfriend.
7.Average 1.8 pts in the 4th quarter of NBA finals.
8.Lose not 1, not 2, but 3 times in the Finals.
9.Host a national televised TV show to leave his team.
10.Go 2 for 18 in an NBA playoff game.
11.Get stuffed by a player under 6 feet. (Nate Robinson)
12.Flop every single game in the playoffs.
    13.Choke 4 out of 5 finals games by dropping FG% by 18.
14.0 Rings if not for refs calling early fouls on Durant and Westbrook it threw them out of rhythm, made them play soft, and sit for big parts of the game which changed the flow and momentum of the finals

That's your take I respect it but I've seen Kobe and Lebron go at it over the years. Yeah Kobe doesn't have the best field goal percentage I know. It's because of his shot selection, he tries to shoot the ball too much and tries very difficult ones at that. Saying his mid range game isn't "reliable" enough percentage wise is blasphemous. He has the best mid range game the NBA has ever seen. Some analysts said so several times. He can post up Lebron, strength isn't all that matters.

5 years later KD has passed Wade , definitely better than Wade on his way to LeBron.

People saying Kevin Durant is humble and modest but he is not really humble or modest, he just let his game do the talking

Kevin Durant was being humble. He definitely up there with Lebron and Kobe.

yea and KD would join in on the winning team when theyre one point away from winning so that he can tell everyone that he won aswell.

In a 1v1 game Kobe has to cover: LBJ's drive (w/no kick-out opportunity) and LBJ's improved but still raw post-game.
LBJ has to cover: Kobe's post game, driving ability, 3pt shot, mid-range game, variety of pump fakes, fadeaways, and the best tough-shot making ability ever. Basically, the whole package of an offensive scorer.
This is why MJ would lose to Kobe because he lacks the 3pt shot (and everything else is equal), but he would equally wipe the floor with LBJ. Ditto KD/Melo.

LeBron plays inside, for the majority of the time, Kobe is primarily a jump shooter. Kobe played great with Shaq, so don't discredit his accomplishments. He passes, you just don't accept that. He had games with 14 assists, and can play the facilitating role, he just has to score. But yes, a shooting guard should always pass the ball.

Offensive games are pretty comparable, but Kobe's a better shooter and a better defender, plus he's got that killer instinct that Lebron just doesn't have.

When both of their careers are over, Kobe will be better. You can't compare someone whose almost 35 to someone whose 28 and still in his prime. Its just not fair. You don't see people comparing jason kidd with kyrie irving right now.
