AMLO admits these rituals from de original people (indigenous), people that have been forgotten for years and years for the mexican governments (in USA I think is the same), goverments that underestimate that people that have been live in the shadows.

Just to give foreign viewers some perspective: crowds gathering to celebrate a new elected president taking office had never been seen. It is not part of the ritual. Nor has ever been seen the native people taking part on it, let alone playing a key role in it. In the past the new presidents would go to the Congress under heavy protection and would not be seen taking office but through TV. Most people would not even watch it. So what was seen yesterday (either you like it or not) was pretty historical and unique.

Kinetic Kennons noooo, last time EPN was met with protests and riots because we believe he tricked the votes. This ceremony with indigenous communities had never happened before, it’s incredibly meaningful, for they had not been taken into consideration ever before, it’s the first time that they gave him the “bastón de mando” because they also recognize him as their leader and they put trust and hope in him, also asking him to respect the people, the indigenous communities and to always work in favor of all Mexicans, including the poorest.
this is amazing and unbelievable. It makes me cry.

@@kinetickennons This was not the traditional taking of power for a president. That was held earlier in the day where Peña Nieto handed over AMLO the control of the country. What happened in the Zocalo was 68 original native nations handed the walking staff of power to President Obrador. The staff represents the center of the world, confidence that he will lead correctly, that you lead listening to the people. You work for the good of people not the good of the $$$$. This was historic no president ever has been supported by indigenous peoples of Mexico like this. You witness something extremely special. You should approach a native dancing group and do a video about what certain things mean. A good one would be the ones dancing at the MUNAL l or Coyoacan.

No. Considering the quasi-monarchical powers of the presidents, their "toma de poder" has customarily been extremely low key-- no parades, no speeches from balconies and so on. The tendency after the Revolution was to conceal power not display it.

Politics unfortunately divide people and not everyone is gonna be happy with a new president. Okay we get, there’s not a video where someone shows the Mexican flag or national anthem where you don’t bring up the same thing that it’s against the law!! Yes we get it everyone gets it and yet people still do it! There’s more important things to worry about than worrying about someone that’s happy waving the flag or singing the national anthem on a sports game, on the streets or any other place for that matter. Reason why no one bothers to enforce that law for the most part. It seem you are more worried or mad about people having a good time and waving the flag and singing the national anthem than the actual law enforcement!! Get over it dude and let these people enjoy themselves!! I see the same comment from you over and over and over!! If you don’t like it then get into law enforcement and bust all these people cuz the only one I see making a big deal about this is YOU!!! And like I said let the man do his job, Time will tell and those people protesting, fine they have every right to do so but at the end of the day AMLO won fare and square, like I said time will tell and I just wish the best for Mexico

He showed him Nicolas Maduro and Evo morals. not be dictators re-electing in power. I never liked AMLO. For looking populist. Since many people looser, they will want him to perform miracles. But AMLO is in the magnifying glass of the world and will know how to measure his power. he has a lot of experience!

    • @dinaandrade6938

@@agusr3419¿No me digas?

The portapotties are a huge improvement from when I was there (in ancient times, lol). The zocalo was crowded like that when I was there for New Year also - except there were no restrooms anywhere. You do a good job of exploring all aspects of Mexican culture and national life. There are some darker realities of life there, as life everywhere, that you have yet to explore. Perhaps one day you will. Then you will run the risk of committing journalism. Or, maybe not.
