I have never seen a more convoluted way to get to speakers. Way to go nissan. On my 98 Malibu, you just pry up the grills and it's all there and it didn't require removing the back half of the bloody car. Haha
@@brendonrutherford5118 to this day I still haven't bothered replacing my speakers. Too much of a pain and too much time. I'll buy a boombox and sit it on the floor before I tear apart half my car.
I'm asumming that the Malibu is an American vehicle (correct me please) whilst the vehicle in this video is Japanese & hence what more needs to be duly said!! You'd think merely being able to unclip the speaker grills would be sufficient access to what in reality should be a mere minor job. All jokes aside why the various manufacturers (in reality the whole bloody lot) require one to practically dismantle the damn rear half of your vehicle just to change a set of speakers is beyond me but i guess I'm not an Asian thank goodness!! Typical Asian manufacturing bullshit!! I lifted the bonnet recently to merely look at the engine compartment of a new Japanese car & promptly closed it even faster than I opened it. I think it needs to be serviced by a garage even if you want to just put some water of all bloody stuff into it!! Yeah right!! It's all very well having all of this fancy shit but some owner somewhere along the service life line of this vehicle is gunna have to pay through the nose merely to get this crap looked at never mind about the bloody servicing!!! That's how the servicing centres are now making their money, merely doing stupid bloody things we were more than capable of doing ourselves!! We should have stuck with wagon wheels as they never went flat nor did they need to be balanced for speed!! (yeah right but I'm only joking!!) I think?? Perhaps I better be careful of my wishes here!!
@@brendonrutherford5118 yes, Malibu is a sedan made by chevy. More and more manufacturers are discontinuing sedans in favor of more expensive SUVs. I like my sedan tho. The only drawback is that every SUV and truck have headlights the same height from the ground as my side mirrors. Pile on the face headlights can be very bright and it is very distracting at night. Cars are insane no matter which way you slice it.
Very informative and concise video. This guy knows what he is doing and tells you exactly what to look for removing and reinstalling the panels and speakers.
I just went through this this afternoon. The new 6x9 s didn't fit. I guess I have to A) find spacers B) drill new holes or C) use zip ties. For now I haven't reassembled and I'm using zip ties, surprisingly they seem to be holding tight.
i would add, that before you take that panel out, remove the lower part of the seat, and remove the two side seat pieces so you do not have to bend that panel up like that. it may create a crease in the panel. but if the car is old, then, do as you want.
I was able to pry off the mesh grills using a metal pry tool. If you try it on the corners you’ll see what I’m talking about. 2017 Nissan Sentra SV. So for anyone asking yes this will work 100% on the 2016 - 2019 models. Just letting y’all know.
Thanks for the video, any idea on what size those screws are? I have a Nissan sentra but it doesn’t have the screws. I want tighten them down so they stop rattling.
The body shop removed this panel and now my trunk light doesn’t work. I checked all the fuses but still no light. Do you know if there is a plug back there for the trunk light that may have been unplugged? Thanks for the video
Question: what is the tool called you used in this video? Second: are these the only speakers in the back in a Nissan sentra? Or are there some in the rear doors as well?
hi i pulled a wire on one of the rear speaker. but now no speakers work..I think i will have to re solder . i would have expected only one speaker not to work

All that shit for 2 speakers!?
The size for the screw/bolts is 10mm.
Looks like more work than it's worth. Thanks for the tutorial.
very uncomfortable for someone tall that's for sure. But the audio quality improvement is totally worth the effort.

Super helpful! Now I know what to do to get to the rear speakers!😀
Way to go! That's so simplistic. Straight to the point. Keep up the great work. Thank you so much

Thanks for the video. It helped out so much. Now all I need to know is what is the positive and negative wire?
Thanks for the video, Now i know that i will use front speaker only. 🤣🤣🤣

What do you mean? Pry off grills and remove speakers without having to remove everything else?
@@Juice421fs Pretty self explanatory, as in without having to take apart the plastic panels and such. It worked for me. Good luck!
I wish I read this comment first
How similar is this repair to a 2004 Nissan sentra? I can’t get past the speaker grate.
A HUGE help! Thanks for making this vid.
Thanks!I just did the front ones now in doing the rear deck, and later will install woring and speakers on rear doors
Do you have the part number for the rear deck speakers

You left out the part where the top brake light casing shatters into a million pieces from the heat

What's the name of that tool? And where did you get it?
I got one at Walmart for $5
Very helpful changing mines next week
Great video. How do you put this shit back together? I'm struggling with the side window panels. Broke just about every clip on 1 side 😫
I'm having trouble disconnecting the 3rd brake light connector
How did you finally disconnect it? I'm having trouble with that also
How did you record this video in 2004 ?
Haha!! The perfect video, thank you so much!
Thank you,now I put 3ways 6x9 in ,where sound better.a lot work just for that.

This is not what I wanted to see, fuck new cars removing clips lol. I was hoping it was like it used to be when we were kids.
Great video indeed. Gonna pay someone else to do this for me LOL
