I always appreciate hearing a battle theme from Sonoda, very reminiscent of his work on Ys VIII. The VST guitar really takes me back to The Leaning Tower of Baja from that game.
"Great Awe" from Sky SC but with some added Sonoda-isms from his plethora of cool melodies from the 2010's I was really hoping for some Sonoda battle music after nothing of the sort in Ys 10. very nice boss theme. I prefer it to the Kuro 2 equivalent. Thank you, king.
Kinda frustrating when you think about how they lock up this kino music in Grim Garten instead of having it regularly played on main story boss fights.
Always good to see a Sonoda hit the ball with a rock track. Wasn't a fan of some of his recent ones, but this is really cool. Great mixture of different leads and focuses all taking turns throughout too.
@@thesubinion I haven't heard anything out of Sonoda in this OST so far that really left an impression on me besides this theme. It's not bad or anything but I definitely felt like Kuro 2 had a lot more good Sonoda moments like Smoky Smoky, Dream is a Lazy Life, Liberation Front and most of his work really. If he has ~20 tracks like in the past few OSTs the second half better be banger after banger. I'm mostly just worried lol
@@Docaccinounfortunately sonoda was often relegated to making ambient and background tracks. Battle themes from him were rare. Now that unisuga is gone, someone has to cover for him. And honestly, that's what we need rn.

The moment the song started i was thinking "great awe". Such an amazing song from the franchise, and I'm glad a newer song feels so similar.

I love this one so much, really like his style for boss themes. Very intense and epic, the rhythm guitars are pretty cool and the piano is great.

前作の庭城のボス戦BGMがイマイチだったから今回のは力入れてきた？！良作だと思う。
For the bass part, it sounded like "Legend of the Five Great Dragons". Then, it sounded like Ys Origin motif with classical orchestration. IMO
I don't care for who made the song too much but this sounds hot.
The first seconds of this sound like some monster theme in Monster Hunter World. Almost same as Zorah Magdaros.
