I bought this card game and couldn’t find any video explaining me this well on how to play it, not even wikihow explained it like you did 😂 It was fun to watch you play with your wife, now I can play it with my mum. Thank youuu ☺️
@19:35 To clarify, the Just Say No card can be played at anytime just like you did here, and it does not affect your actions in your turn (which happens after the opponent finished their turn). Meaning you still get 3 turns regardless of the fact it appears you had 4? Because it’s not your action, it’s more of a blocking move to stop your opponent from their action. Also in a group of 4 or more, can a person play Just Say No at anytime and stop an opponents action even if it’s directed at another person and not yourself (basically blocking a move from happening to someone else)
I play this so differently and it’s much easier. -All properties and all money are revealed and not counted as a move. They are required to be laid down for everyone to see. -The action cards are the only cards in your hand hidden. -you can only play an action card as a move and it is how you discard. You only get to do one action. **The first draw is not a move, as it is how play starts. If you use the pass Go card, you can lay down any property or money, but you cannot play another action. -if you can’t discard, you just say you cannot discard. Your play is done. -the wildcards Cannot be swapped in YOUR hand once designated. If they are stolen, they other player can move it wherever they want to their advantage or not designated until they combine it with another colored set. -unusable (to you) action cards are still kept in your hand. They can be used as money but don’t have to be declared like the actual currency. You can give them to a player form your hand when rent is demanded, but not count as a move against you.
With reference to Monopoly Deal:- If I have a set of a colour example green, now I have additional same colour card .. that makes it 4 cards of same colour.. do I get to choose which cards will be part of my set by rearranging them or the original set remains same and additional green card goes in collection( this card can be taken by sly or force action card)
Great vid. Yeah it was a bit rough with kids, so I explained that you only get to hold their own cards for 5 mins - before they get collected by someone else. Yup it solved lots of 'rage quits' moments by my kids. 😊
I just got the game, I'm having my friends over dinner Saturday, we will play. I really appreciated watching the game you played with your wife. Thanks.
this game has so many components, ended up making my own rules/adjustments? THIS IS WRONG BUT I ENJOY, when we force deal -- swapping cards each person picks what to swap .. and only sly deal or deal breaker then that it full steal (like we can pick what to steal), while rent cards ... i don't discard but leave it on the charged land and so that rent cards stack to collect more money? with wild cards, it count as a (1/3 action turn) each time we want to change it ...
If other person does not have money and action card in bank and has 2 complete set and if i need to collect rent of 2 million the will he give one card from set of property or he will give nothing Also can any action card be use as money like sly deal deal breaker rent cards etc
In that situation, your opponent must break up their complete set to pay your rent. For the second question, only cards that have been put in the bank may be used for making payments. Payments cannot be made with cards from your hand.
Help clarify a couple things. 1. If you put an action card worth 1 million in your bank and you end up having to pay someone else with that action card, does action card stay monetary or can they use it as an action card? 2. if your opponent has played two multicolored wild properties.(red) and end up stealing one of your red properties. Does it count as a full set?
If a player use a deal breaker into a full set with a wild propriety on it, would he be able to take it, or the player with the full property is able to switch the card as he wants?
My son wants me to buy this game and asked me to watch a video explaining the rules which I did and very detailed and informative, Thanks. I wanted to ask do you have to take three turns or can you take less if you wanted to?😊
This isnt too bad but I can see why you like Monopoly Bid - though the actions in this are simple there seems a little too much Bid seems much more streamlined
I am thinking you did a invalid move at your turn at 14:20 as you played pass go, debt collection and added 2 cards to your bank. What should I do if I have to pay more than I have laid out in bank and properties? # Am I out of the game? # Am I exempt from payment? # Do I have to pay what I have laid in front? I can't find a detailed explanation. Also will I lose 2 moves if I try to collect double rent?
You pay what you owe with what is in your bank and incomplete sets. If you cannot pay the whole amount, you do not continue paying on your next turn. The debt does not carry over.
it can be used by itself only if it is the only card that you have (i.e. you have to pay rent, you pay with what is left in your bank and with the properties that you had, now you're just left with the property wild card since you cannot pay rent with that one, therefore it will stay in front of you as a property)
One question, I see you swaped your 1 Black Property with her 1 Purple, does it mean you can only swap one of your card with one of hers, not your set of property with her set of property, like you swap your 1 black with 2 purple, or your 2 oranges with her 2 purple, is this right?
Great video, but no mention of wild cards. If I use a wild card in a set then acquire that card, can I swap the wild and use it elsewhere? And does swapping count as a play?
Nope cards must be played immediately and cancel out the action that was just played. One action is canceled per nope card, and a Nope card can be played to cancel out a nope card. Hope this helps!! :)
If you have a property wildcard with 2 colour choices, do you need a property of that colour before you can play it or can you start a set with a wildcard and add a property later?
I don’t think it’s correct to use it as a property. My instruction (in Italian) says only that you can use it to complete a set of properties. So I guess it cannot stand my itself.
I head that you cant play cards from the hand directly. It has to be on the table and then only you can use. But you used action card from your hand directky
Great question! There are only two brown properties (Mediterranean and Baltic), so I had a complete set. Dark Blue is the same (Park Place and Boardwalk).
On regular monopoly you remove your house when you add a hotel. But for Monopoly deal, you keep the house and ADD the hotel...is that correct? We just started playing a couple weeks ago- just checking :)
If you have to pay someone with one of your action cards, is the receiving player allowed to use it as the actual action card or is it just money value ?
So if a certain property color has a set of 4 properties for example. Can you have 3 of the regular properties and one wild property. Does that count as a complete set, or must you have all the regular properties?
Please talk about the JUST SAY NO. I play a JUST SAY NO, SHE PLAYS A JUST SAY NO on top of mine and I returned with the next just say no... ARE ALL OF MY JUST SAY NO's "COUNTED AS PLAYS.... PLEASE HELP

No. You can only use the action by playing the card from your hand. Once it is put in the bank it can only be used for its money value. Thanks for the question!
Reshuffle the discard pile and use it as the new draw pile. Make sure when players have more than seven cards at the end of their turn, they are placing them on the bottom of the draw pile not the top of the discard pile.
This depends on who you are playing with. I say no to moving wilds especially if there are houses or hotels on it because it breaks up the set that allowed you to build the house/hotel. A lot of people play that you are allowed to move the wilds. I dislike that house rule.

You could do a house rule, just omit the card that steals the full property set. Keep the card that allow you to steal one property card. All fixed !
there is a JUST SAY NO CARD that you can use to counter forced/sly deals. hold on to them until you nearly have the 3 complete sets!
I have watched a lot of monopoly deal tutorial and this video makes all sense. Thank you for your explanation 👍🏼

Monopoly is supposed to be cutthroat. I’m laughing at how mad people get about it. The board game is ruthless too!

So if you already did an action for your turn and you have more than 7 do you discard and just keep 7? Every turn you still draw 2?

The action card stays monetary. It cannot be used as an action card. Yep, that would be a full set! ☺️
If a player use a deal breaker into a full set with a wild propriety on it, would he be able to take it, or the player with the full property is able to switch the card as he wants?

I’m not sure the wild property can be used by itself. I mean my instruction says it can be used to complete a set not as an actual property
