Looking good sounds good Driver ! Hey you didn’t have to get out and lay under neath her this time lol! Throw on a stiffer throttle return spring get those rpms to come down quicker lol! Thanks for sharing bud hope all is going well 👍
Good to see you back! Could you share the sites you used during your service truck search? I’m sure you searched deeper than the most popular. The new ride is a marketing magnet! Thanks
Craigslist on a computer allows you to use the keyword and limit to owner. Put a price in and just start changing the city in the tab. You can find a lot of hidden things. Facebook marketplace also let's you move the same keyword and parameters around the country via the map. Keywords are usually spelled wrong also. If you know what you have, you know how to spell it. Details in the search narrows the choices and most programs autofill with other areas around you. Chase those leads. Next is, don't be afraid to ask a salesman whats in the pipe. If its not listed, it still might be for sale. This truck was purely a networking situation. It was a possibility and I went for it.

So I'm guessing looking at the blue sticker at the top that the stick on the right is a ratio splitter of sorts. Does this have 20 usable gear ratios then or have I misunderstood how this works?
In reality there is 20 different ratios. However, you don't use all 20 different ratios. I don't use overdrive in the auxiliary box until 4th or 5th on the main box
That’s just tickling them in there not grinding, and there’s nothing wrong with that my friend 👍😎 Are they spicer or eaton boxes in there? Just curious.
@@offroadwrench5752 so got a couple questions! But first one is how do You go about getting the things you need for servicing machines and what not? Like you have to go pick it up from those company’s that the machine is from?
I love the old Petes, thanks for sharing

In a world going to automatic trucks you've gone the other way. Love it! Beautiful old pete

There is a lot more sites to chase if you just follow the bread crumbs
@@offroadwrench5752 Thanks man! My search is a lil more difficult because of the single axle but
Check with oregon auto group in Springfield Or. They have a couple like that I think

That is a sick truck, does that transmission have lockout on reverse?
No it doesn't. Straight up old school 5 speed main box and 4 speed aux

What company are you a service mechanic for? I work around on the same area!
I now work for myself.
@@offroadwrench5752 so got a couple questions! But first one is how do
You go about getting the things you need for servicing machines and what not? Like you have to go pick it up from those company’s that the machine is from?
Either an employee of the company or myself picks up the parts. A lot of times the parts will already be waiting for me onsite
Is that a 6 x 4 spicer
Its a 5 x 4 spicer
