    This was a very professional job. I did not even turn on my volume when I watched it and pretty much saw everything I needed with the captions that were put in the video.

    My wife and I were able to replace the backlights by watching this video. This particular video states that if you buy the replacement backlights from Shopjimmy, the backlights will have adhesive. We received the replacement backlights in around 4 days but no adhesive was applied to these backlights so we had to wait another 4 days or so for the adhesive tape. So you might ask about that while ordering. I still give a thumbs up to Shopjimmy and the helpful video and quick delivery.

      The tape is pretty available everywhere about and if Walmart is close it’s probably about same price but cool how your able to do project and save $$$

    Just wanted to say thank you!!!! Super appreciate this video as it’s saved me on so much money on not having to buy a new tv!!!!!! After so many companies told me it would be too expensive for them to fix my tv and not even give me a quote. To do it myself and the parts only cost twenty pound!!!!!! I am so happy. So thank you again!

    Have the exact same tv with the same issue. Did some research and came across your excellent in-depth video. I decided to replace all 8 led strips , so I know they all new one time since I had it open. Thank you greatly for the video 🙏 In future for anyone from 🇿🇦 get the strips from TV Master Crownwood JHB. 8 x new strips R640 👌

    I was sad because I didn’t want to spend 1000 on a new TV. Loved the pic on this Tv when it was new. Strips came over night 3 to 4 hours later… I got my picture back. I can see the backlights now though. Not sure if it because I know how my TV functions now. Super cool. The TV is only 5 years old they have been failing for a while. Thank you!

    Successfully replaced. Thank you for your video BUT...I have a different issue that I have pictures of how can I post for feedback? The top 4" is a line that looks normal. The rest looks like 20% of the left is normal, the middle 55% is irregularly shaped darker and the right 20% looks washed out. For you "smart" people, 5% is for transition between).
    Any suggestions beside reset, reboot and kick?
    **UPDATE** I am thinking that this could be a ribbon cable issue (possibly) since this issue was not noticed prior to the LED replacement. Thought?

    OK I know this is an insane request but does anybody know the order in which the layers go into the TV??
    EDIT:
    TOP LAYER
    1 = Thick opaque diffusion layer
    2 = Thin, more opaque layer
    3 = thin, less opaque layer
    4 = thin, more transparent layer
    BOTTOM LAYER

    great tutorial, thanks. Question : there's adhesive metal strips going from the electronics cards under the panel to the metal structure of the tv. This strips avoid me to remove the panel and access the light filters. Can I remove it ? I don't understand their usefullness... Thanks

  • @MiloradSkoric
    @MiloradSkoric 7 месяцев назад

    Here it is shown how to change the strips, but not how they light up when the TV is on. On this TV, the panel is cracked, from the top edge on the left half of the panel, the lines are going down, you can see that while he was taking the TV apart and then when he was assembling it.

    I can't disconnect the power cables from the LED strips. Seems like glued there. I'm afraid not to break the thin wires. Cables won't come off. They are stuck. What to do?

    I have this exact model and the picture is extremely dark. Almost like it’s stuck in sleep mode. I think it’s the backlights. Do you show how to make sure it’s your leds bad before you tear it all apart? What board controls power to the leds and can you check that output first? Or maybe hookup new leds to the board before teardown?

    Hey man, my tv had no back light, so I replaced the leds. Leds light up very very dim. The negatine wire supplying the leds is giving me 3,8 kilo ohms to the chasis! There is a 3 wire cable coming from the main board(CN3 INVERTER) . DIM, GND and EN. GND is fine to the chasis, the others have no voltage either ac/dc. Should I change the power board?

    Hi, just a quick question. Are T-con boards specific to each particular TV model or is there some interchangeability? In the UK and struggling to find a TCON LVDS FOR LG 55UH7700 TV 6871L-4430D ( 6870C-0645A). For a good price anyway. Any help appreciated!

    well i boguht new leds changed them and they are not working.
    after dissambling the tv, before i removed the old ones i connected my tv, the old ones were not working either. i thought it might be an issue because some cables on and from the tcom board are not connected. i thought it might me a safety issue or something.
    does anyone have a possible solution? wämy screen is darkm, with a torch pointing on the tv i see a picture... what could havee been wrong?
    the reason why i changed the leds at first place was that i had dark/purple spots on my screen

    Good video but it didn't fix my Lg uj6050. I have replaced the power supply and the back lights. Now the back lights just flash on and off. What's next, mother board, T-con board? I see why repair shops don't want to repair them.

    Hi, I recently replaced my LED strips. Everything went smoothly, but after turning my set on I have a bright spot that has some red and yellow around it. Is this a bad diffuser? Could an LED just be bad on the strip? I’m at a loss, and the image quality is great except for this one bright spot. Thank you for the response

    • @kevinkev2394
      @kevinkev2394 Год назад

      Hello, that light is due to the LED strip, they used a poor quality glue or it is not the right one to stick the diode, (Diode = circular light of the LED strip) You have to change the LED strip, which has that problem , . There is no other solution, You have to remove that led strip and place another one, change it, for another led strip, Remember only the one that has the problem, In the manufacture of led strips, this problem usually happens with the machine that produces them. By adding the glue, to "Diode", You already know the solution, "Change" (The problem is the "Diode" the Small Circuit that gives the light and has the LED inside. I recommend you to change the complete led strip, because if you try to fix the Diode, when you manipulate it, it will be damaged and cause problems with the Voltage of your television)
