Is that possible to Mercedes’ s w221 2013 regards Eu standards. I bought a car from Japan and as you know , headlights are in another direction. Thanks body!
See the issue is this should've been done BEFORE the housing was put back together. Even so you are adjusting the rotation and everytime you do it, you have to put the bulb in and take it out. You cannot see in real time the adjustment you are making. Mark the rotation adjustment before hand so you can see how much it needs to move, or how much the projector has moved relative to the housing.s
This is happening right now with my projectors!!! My cutoff is off! What is the right position from the back to tighten it down and or did you have test it a couple times ?
The point of that hole in the socket is to attach the socket wrench- Theres also a locating tab with very minimal rotational movement on the h4 bracket? Purposely not allowing it to rotate so this issue doesn't happen while in use
What do you suggest. I bought aftermarket projector housings for my car. And the light cut off and hot spot from the HID bulbs are excellent. My only gripe is that the lights are aimed way too low for how much light they produce. And there's no way to adjust them since the projector housing isn't connected to the adjusting screws from oem. I tried to put a shim under the housing but the position won't stay. What do you recommend I do next?
@@robertorios222 I fixed the problem of the lights being too low, I took my small impact gun and tightened the adjusting screw to the right and the lights came up and aren't low anymore. But now they're waayyy too high, and I'm pretty sure the adjuster screw broke because I can't move my lowbeam at all. So I have permanent high beams and blind other drivers
@@christianbarrera1093and this folk! Is why we do not use impact guns on fine adjustment applications…. But ya! Let’s fucking recommend that idea to other people. Geezus….
Nice topic brother i was finding this type of material because i am stuck in the shroud light cuttoff also setting it to the right position mine is a bit anti clockwise
@Tom3294. Not yet, I'm assuming the manufacturer didn't properly secure the cutoff shields for the projectors and that's how they rotated upward (The cutoff line isn't flat, it kinda looks like batwings at a 45⁰ angle)
😂😂😂 Bro that is by design in America, it's to help us see road signs, and other objects on the right side of the car. Just like the left side is lower ( should be below normal height cars sideview mirrors )

Thanks for the tips. Saved me some stress. Bright idea the screwdriver through the socket. Mahalo
Is this posible to do with ds1 projector?
I'm hoping this is why my driver side light is aimed at a really weird/steep angle but the passenger is fine
I have the exact same issue! Did you sort it?
