I think this is a better option than the IQ model, like how much more compact it is. Do you know if there are any plans to have a compatible rear view dash cam? Really good vlog! Thank you
Even though u have inserted a Sandisk 256gb into the device, a voice keeps telling me “insert sd card”?? It’s not in upside down or anything as it would block you from inserting, it’s for the pico 2k so the 256gb Sandisk card should be fine, but keeps repeating this ???
Not sure what's going on there, the 2k supports a 256gb card and I've just double checked it on their website. Could you try formatting the card on a computer first? Or do you have another micro SD card you could try? You might have to reach out to Nextbase if nothing works
No, you can with the Nextbase iQ but that also has a subscription because it's requires data/a built-in SIM card. In my experience it's quite common for dash cams to only offer a local connection
@ so is it good and does it have 24/7 guardian mode, because I’m looking for something that will capture anything if anyone damages my car, thanks for the speedy reply
If your cigarette light port is always powered, even when the engine's off, then it will run your battery down but if it isn't powered when the engine's off then it won't. The hardwire and OBD cable kits have voltage limiters to prevent this.

I really like your reviews, they are very thorough. I bought two IQ 4ks and a rear after watching your last review about 6 times.
Thanks, glad you like my dash cam reviews!

It's definitely hitting the points that people didn't like so much about the iQ, and yes there are plans for a rear camera for the Nextbase Piqo :)
Can it be powered straight to usb type C socket rather than the 12v power adaptor
Yes it can!
Great little dash cam, so glad there’s no screen like my last one, (which I turned off) your total view is through the windscreen anyway.
Glad you like your Nextbase Piqo dash cam!
@ forgot to mention that I chose it because of your shortened vid 2 weeks ago, happy days, thanks for sharing James.👍😊
This model Piqo, will it record at night when the vehicle is stationed when it detects any movement..
If you have it connected via the hardwire or OBD kit, then yes it will record any time of day that it detects an impact.
@@LensOfJames but it will not record when a car is parking next to me just impact meaning when the car gets hit
Yes that's right, it just starts recording when the g-sensor detects an impact
It’s a pity it doesn’t have a rear view camera but like you said just get another one I suppose
I don't think it'll be long before they introduce a rear camera...

Can you delete footage via the app?
Yes you can, and can format the card too
So live view you can’t view from anywhere ?

It's all in the video, check out 4:54 for parking mode stuff
So if I use the cigarette lighter port it won't run down my battery?

@LensOfJames thanks 👍
