Thank you for the amazing video, I’m just starting out and am wondering when I go to the forest to look for some wood how to ask the tree for permission and how to leave an offing. ❤
hi there Darren, you may walk up to the tree of your choice And just simply ask. go by the feeling that you get ,you will receive energy just like you receive energy off people without words. trust your gut. you will know it is very rare the trees will say no. You may leave an offering of sacred tobacco, or herbs in placement of sacred tobacco, you may leave little teeny tiny crystal chips, or an offering of your choice that you seem deemed fit. The offering will be small and something that is biodegradable or given back to nature. I like to leave sacred tobacco or tiny wishing crystals personally. Now you don't need to leave an offering at each place where you forage or search for your wand or collect your item. You just need to leave that one place especially the one place you choose for your wand. If you're foraging you also only need to leave one offering. Now what if you forgot herbs a crystal or something to offer?? The Canadian indigenous people use a strand of their hair an offering of their DNA given back to the creator earth. This is a sacred offering and is one that I also use very frequently specially when I collect my wood for my wands. Let me know if you have any questions blessed be - Cara✨
There is no end to your talent and your endeavors are quite tedious at times. But your patience and love for what you do produce a product that’s loved by many! I loved all of them and thank you for sharing your passions with us!
wonderful wands and nice to see that only one wand is preferable! i’m a maker and felt a bit constrained by the idea of A WAND as opposed to wands multiple! thank you.
I thought that was clay on the wands, glue is so much quicker and easier. Beautiful wands!💙🥰💜I liked all of your wands but I thought the Autumn wand had something extra special going on with it.
@@daswitchling , my first and favorite one i forgot to show in my collection, and its the main one I use haha. its a piece of driftwood all curled and nearly , it twines around my wrist and arm, with a blue heron foot on it at the end holding a large chunk of aventurine Crystal. its over 25 years old now and i don't bring it anywhere in fear of the wood breaking. its hold a special place on my altar. in the video id say I love the Bee Shaman wand, the fire wand, and the 4 elemental wand.
Ypu are a Wand Hoarder! 😝hahaaaaa My favs are the ivy one ( I thought take bits of ivy off and place them on stick so you can see more of the wood) My other favorite is the element wood one. Beautiful.🥰
gasp ! i just realized I never showed my very first one! and its the main one i use. sigh...next video. my daughter voted for the ivy, but i m feeling the less ivy look too, I may strip it down and bring out the polymer clay on that one, see more of the wood and copper is the right idea , i agree. many blessing to you and your kitties.
If any wiccan who follows gardnerian or alexandian tradition saw this video they to my knowledge wouldn't be happy seeing you using hot glue to make a wand because they're very conservative when it comes to choice of the materials for everything. I am considering getting into wicca but it will be eclectic wicca because i have all the freedom and i can practice alone. My choice of wood will most likely be black locust from my own forest so offering won't be problem and i might not even need it because to most of black locust trees i gave home over there by planting them, i can even go with willow trees, i did the same for many of them. I believe trees in my backyard won't mind me taking pieces because i take care of them and don't use pesticides, every year i give something back to the land and land responds in kind.
As you will see there is a diverse ideas to make a wand I offered, Im not wiccan nore Alexandian , or Gardnerian. Im A Pagan Art witch, im happy with what I make. thats so cool about the wonderful trees in your Yard, dont forget if you take a branch ask first, give offering in grattitue , thank you for sharing your kind words.
@pagancrafting i will give something in return but as i said what i give in return to trees is my devotion in caring for them and since trees in my back yard are fruits i have to prune them to help them and although prunning can be painfull every tree in my backyard knows that it's done to help them and their reaction is good because they show me clearly how much they value what i do for them and persimon tree this year showed me what happens when you take good care of trees in accordance with rules of the nature by blessing me and my family woth 90 kilos or roughly 180 pounds of fruit from single tree. Gardnerian and Alexandrian are wiccan traditions actualy but over there in US most wiccans are eclectic wiccans who practice alone.
Hey Cara! It's sarah (MrsD) I figured I would follow you from my "other channel" I have to say you have inspired me 🙏🏼🧘🏼♀️ I'm so glad you made this video. I am trying, after some time to get my head wrapped around decorating my wand. It has to be a special "thing" with me. I cant just slap some paint in it and done lol so I love what you're doing. Also have walking sticks for my grandson, daughter, husband, my Dad and myself. Need to do those also.
hey there !! I love more natural wands, and I seem to connect with them more energetically, ohhh maybe you could pick out s crystal to represent each person on the walking sticks?
Love love love this video. Am now thinking of getting some basic carving tools. How do you get the bark off of the branches? I am surrounded by woods and bark removal is big roadblock for me
