Some contructive critisism, by only showing the hiders perspective you are removing a lot of the tension and storytelling from a hide and seek video. The audience needs to have the tension of knowing where people are to feel any excitement about whats happening which is why a lot of hide an seeks are edited like this: Hiders hide, switch to seekers as our main perspective, switch to hiders as cut-ins to show information as needed, if a chase starts start shifting perspectives fairly frequently. If you want to get better at this I would suggest pick your favorite rounds from one of the released hide and seek videos and do a little tear down of it. Why is it your favorite? How does the editing help with that? You can also usually pick out a main point of the round the videos are trying to convey (Some rounds are about how quick they were, some how long, some about how a specific spot(s) or chase(s) was crazy or silly) and make the goal to convey that point as strongly as possible.
Also to add, probably keep some of the time in banter from between the rounds in too. When they all join the call and discuss everything tends to be funny as hell. Them talking about the Lil Kirbs spot and realizing Fir was just screwing around with the bell the whole time was peak comedy. Extra tip. If Cjay is in a chase, either hiding or chaser probably cut to him. The screams and rage he makes are always amazing.
@@TheGodIvy I was going to say their sardines video they posted today was better, and it is a better watch, but I think sardines for hide and seek just isn't as hurt by the one perspective at a time thing. The editing is the same
I agree with almost all of your points, but maybe word it differently. Honestly, comes off as quite harsh and you have to remember they aren’t doing it professionally, only as a bit of fun. Whilst constructive feedback is great, make sure you commend their effort for what they’ve actually done.
The best fan edit ever. I was watching it and thinking, who uploaded this, then realized it is a fan edit. It felt like cjya or smallant uploaded it because of the edit style.
