My base model 2007 VW Caddy has cruise control, ASR/ESP, power windows and mirrors, headlamp adjustment button (which is handy as I've lifted my van a couple of inches) and air-conditioning, no heater as its not needed where I am, in Australia. The first owner was a small business owner and must have had the options included for his comfort
This is incorrect, as you have the locking bar holding down all the connectors @3:56 & then each connector has it own locking strip, so it would be impossible to insert the wire without removing these first.

Try turning the steering wheel lock to lock & hold it at each end for 10seconds, to see if just needs to learn the end position. If that fails, you'll need it scanning to read the fault code & it maybe 00778

2015 Tiguan requires a completely different stalk & a Slip Ring. No wiring required. We currently sell the part for £254.10 inc UK Delivery or £300 fully Installed at our workshop in Skelton, TS12 2LQ
@@markowolf9540 I presume you do not have a wire in PIN 13? Exactly the same method as shown in the video, except you run the wire along to the ECU. As per the video the Control Wire plugs into the blue connector behind the wiper motor housing. Have you checked the wire is not already in place on PIN13 of Steering Module? Ensure that the Steering Module is Cruise Compatible & that the Steering Module & the ECU are correctly coded. Did you use a Genuine VW Stalk, as there is a lot of Fakes, that just don't work or fail after a short time. Also have you coded the ECU & Steering Module. You can also use Measuring Blocks to see the Cruise Stalk Buttons working

If you have the Trip button or a MFSW, then the Steering Module is a Midline/Highline which most are Cruise compatible. Even if it's not compatible, then you can buy a used module & swap them out. If you know the part number of the module then you can look it up on Ross Tech Wiki; wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Steering_Wheel_Control_Module_Versions#Part_Number_1K0-953-549 We've never come across a MK5 Golf that is not Cruise Compatible, some just need more parts & Early 2004/2005 models require the wire as per the video.

That depends on the model year, as usually 2004/2005 models do require the wire, although this can be easily checked by seeing if a wire is present on Pin13 of the black connector

Apparently you can access the blue plug from behind under the steering wheel. No need to remove stuff in the engine bay.

Yes the wiper arms need to be removed & the cover has 3 x 10mm nuts holding it on

Slightly different fitting & PIN5 on the slip ring needs checking for the ECU Wire
Tiguan will not require the ECU Wire
Mainly 2009 VW Golf Cabriolet & Passat require it

If you don't have the blue connector & no wire in pin 13, the ECU Wire will need running directly into the ECU
