There's a lot of people on Psych meds. While I agree they are over prescribing them. They do help people who actually need them, I had to spend a year on a few meds because there was a death in the family and it hit pretty hard, I couldn't sleep,work,eat. Anything, and they helped me. For people who actually need them they are a great tool

Canada has relatively strict gun control but in the last 10 years we have had 2 separate incidents in Ontario where young men have plowed a van into multiple people. One was a racially motivated hate crime against a family but another was indiscriminate by a young man who considered himself an incel. I really don't see the point in outlawing guns for the majority of law abiding US citizens - by that logic, Canada should outlaw vans!

also the 20% is very skewed with the democratic states having significantly lower rates and the people with profession (police, military, fire fighter, security, etc) you would expect to own a gun filling a large portion of all gun owners.
