    Waco (/ˈweɪkoʊ/ WAY-koh) is the county seat of McLennan County, Texas, United States. It is situated along the Brazos River and I-35, halfway between Dallas and Austin. The city had a 2020 population of 138,486, making it the 22nd-most populous city in the state.[8] The 2021 U.S. Census population estimate for the city was 139,594. The Waco metropolitan statistical area consists of McLennan and Falls counties, which had a 2010 population of 234,906.[10] Falls County was added to the Waco MSA in 2013. The 2021 U.S. census population estimate for the Waco metropolitan area was 280,428.

    I’ve lived here since 1991 when I moved from AZ and I can tell you the people here are wonderful. Waco is now my hometown.

      What was it like while the siege was happening? I'm sure you get this question a lot, so I apologize

      @@molotovic815 there were military equipment going down the middle of Waco on I 35 frequently and many media people, FBI, and other officials here. I remember the day the compound burned I was driving through Baylor University and looked up and saw smoke and helicopters in the air and knew right away something bad had happened. I am friends with the Federal Prosecutor involved in that case at that time and what he went through in the aftermath of all that left a mark to this day. He hasn’t been the Same.

    Ive lived here a year and have never seen so much trash and litter on the sides of streets.people are filthy here
