Telling someone with a legitimate service dog that they can’t attend an event because you don’t like the dog is the EXACT same thing as telling a persons in a wheelchair they can’t attend because you don’t like the chair.
Very different from the story where OP had crippling allergies and offered like five different thoughtful options to try and offer her friend a solution and her friend practically spit in her face. This lady’s just a see you next tuesday.
Nah fuck that sister, her whole post backfired on her because no one wanted to agree with her and she got all whiny about it. "Oh I don't want to stress about the dog during the wedding!" It's a service dog. For anxiety. They're not gonna be barking and running around, they're going to be at their person's side. What is the issue with that
Exactly! A proper service dog is busy doing it's job and isn't distracting anyone. All of the service dogs I've met were very quiet and you wouldn't even notice they were there unless the owner had a problem and the dog were alerting to it (which is their job)
For the wedding video: OP goes to reddit to see if people think they're an asshole. People think they're an asshole. OP then gets defensive and says "you don't know my life". Then why did they even post lol
Classic case of wanting to be told they're not "wrong" and expect people to be on their side, only to be surprised when people disagree and tell them they're an asshole. 😅
OPs like this just annoy me. Most people post to that sub because they genuinely aren’t sure if they are in the wrong and want to know. Then you have the OPs like this one who 1000% believe they are in the right & don’t really care about anyone else’s opinion, so why take the time to even post? Gotta get their drama fix somewhere I guess. 😂
Took the words right out of my mouth lol “you don’t know the first thing about me but let me post about my personal life and my decision I won’t budge on anyway” lol
THIS! Wtf? lmao Sounds like a real treat, that one. Serve her right honestly if Mom and Dad decide to say screw it and stay home. As a mom, that's what I would do... but then, none of my kids are complete jerks, so it shouldn't come up.
This! Honestly...smh. I was preparing for the story to go _very_ differently when OP made a point of saying (at 8:30) that, "no animals are allowed on the property, except for _legitimate_ service animals." My line of thinking was: Why would OP have to say _legitimate_ service animals, unless the sister's dog isn't _actually_ a service animal? Thus, I was anticipating that the sister was going to cause drama over a dog that wasn't _actually_ trained/licensed as a service dog, which would be a whole different situation. But nope. OP was just a raging @$$hole.
@@oliverkirkland9332 the sister's animal is an emotional support animal but definitely a service animal in this instance considering the rigor in acquiring it. Even service animals for "normal disabilities" go through a psychiatrist (social workers and/or other support workers) to acquire them.

"Yes, you're the AH for denying her service animal, which is legally required to be allowed at all venues." "Wow, you're quick to judge! You don't know me!" The sheer idiocy of this lady is baffling
The wedding story banning the service dog, lady didn't want actual judgement, she wanted a echo chamber agreeing with her. The entire point of the venue allowing service animals, which they are legally required to, by ADA laws, has no bearing on the story, and is only there to distract.
