We use pens because graphite is conductive. You do not want random pieces of graphite tumbling through the cockpit connecting random circuit and causing fires in space.
Kennedy Space Center is a wonderful way to spend a day or two when visiting Florida. Even the family and friends that are not space, NASA and or science fans in the groups I have visited with enjoyed the KSC. Yelp gives a 4 out of five stars rating, but if you are a fan it is an easy 5. Thank you for sharing your visit it beings back special memories...
My dad worked on the Orion project and currently works on Artemis!!! And he was part of the team that built the fuel tanks for the last couple shuttle missions:) thanks for showing off Kennedy space center and all it has to offer😊
I love it when you guys go to places that are off the beaten path. Most people forget that the Kennedy Space Center is an option for a day trip when they visit central Florida. I'm sure Alan was in his element the same way that Molly was in her element when they went to Medieval Times. How about Mammoth Club does Icon Park?
Loved seeing Alan geek out! Also Molly's quote "If you put victorious music over any montage is about the triumph of the human spirit - I'm gonna cry" makes me think of classic Epcot.
I love this. My grandpa was a machinist for McDonnell Douglas his whole career and worked on the Gemini capsule, so NASA missions have always been a core part of our family lore. 💕
I would buy a shirt that says “If you put victorious music behind any montage that is about the triumph of the human spirit… I’m gonna cry.” That is me ❤️
I cried like a baby at the "Forever Remembered" exhibit. I had no idea what was at the end of it. The exhibit inspires fear, pride, sadness, and all sorts of other emotions. So glad I was able to take my children to see this.
Apparently I am more of a space girlie than I thought. This started me down an internet rabbit hole. Of the first 30 astronauts NASA hired there are six left. The youngest is 88. If you grew up in the sixties the space program was such a big deal it’s hard not to be a bit of a space nerd. It’s been a moving experience to see the space program and NASA grow over the decades. It has been awe inspiring and heartbreaking. This really made me want to visit KSC. Seeing a launch always was on the bucket list. Thanks, Molly and Alan.
I am a total Space Girlie!!! I was born 11 days after Neil & Buzz landed on the moon for the very first time. I always say that they brought me back with them! I've been to NASA twice and totally geek out. THANKS for going there! IowaGirl
We have loved, loved, loved our trips over to Kennedy Space Center. I can't tell you how excited I am that you did this. The sheer size of the VAB and the Saturn V rocket blew me away. I'm a space girlie , like Alan. This all makes me giddy. THANK YOU!
Indulge Molly's ocean girly side and do Discovery Cove!! I loved it there when I went as a kid and would love to see what the experience is like now that I am an adult
My momma and myself went to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center in Alabama when I was in the 6th grade. We had so much fun. That was 25 years ago and it was one of my favorite trips we ever did in school and it didn't really cost that much back in 1998.
Driven by there a couple of times and keep forgetting about it until we drive by and always have other plans. Need to make plans specifically for that place!
This is so fascinating. I went to KSC about 15 years ago and loved it. As a kid, there was nothing I wanted more than to go to Space Camp and become an astronaut one day. Seeing the launch sites, seeing the rocket garden, everything here was just amazing. I'd love to go back to see how much things have changed and progressed, but in the meantime I'm watching this video absolutely fascinated.
Loved this. Kennedy Space Center is on my list. I am one who sews and I loved hearing about the ladies who sew the heat blankets. Its true, the old Singers are solid as a rock.
My mom who is a HUGE SPACE GEEK said “this is the best video you ever had.” Next time you have to see a real rocket launch and you will cry. My mom has see three space shuttle launches in person and I have seen one in person. We both learned lots of new facts and your tour guide was excellent and we are ready to launch on our own KSC trip guided trip in the future.
My Dad was an Air Force flight director for shuttle, Delta and titan rockets. Thank you for visiting. They used to allow family members to go inside VAB before 9/11. It is amazing!
Really, really glad to see you guys enjoy this place. It is fantastic. It was also fun to see how much has changed since the last time I was there. My first tour was in the early 80's and it was RADICALLY different. I treasure memories from every trip and would love to return again. Great addition to your channel!
I also cried at the Atlantis exhibit. My teenage son was very embarrassed, but as somebody that grew up in Florida at the height of the Space Shuttle program, it was very emotional.
This one was a treat!! I've never been there so this video was informative and interesting. Loved it and always love when Molly and Alan, takes you on a new adventure other than the parks. Thank you 👍 that's why I love the MAMFAM!!!!🎉
Thank you so much for this video! I work for NASA, so I really appreciate you putting the spot light on the life’s work of many of us in the space industry. During what can often be difficult times, we do what we do to inspire and bring hope! ❤
I hated the Space Center as a child. I hated it when I was 24. MAN, have they improved it in the past 30+ years! Much more to do now. Thank you for taking the trip out to the coast for us!
One of the few highlights of my life was back in 2012 right at the tail end of the Shuttle program they actually let you go INSIDE the VAB. You could feel all the history made in that room. Not ashamed to admit I shed a tear.
I went to KSC one time and asked the astronaut who was meeting people about the whole pen/ pencil thing and he said the pencils weren't actually a good option, because the graphite dust they give off can get into the electronics and mess them up. It's one of the reasons the Americans worked so hard to find a different option.
Yayyy.. you guys are on my side of town!! Fun fact...They say the VAB (the big building) is so big that it creates its own weather systems. Clouds can form inside the building and it rains inside the VAB. That's so crazy huh!?! 🤯
Molly, I cried too! 😂 My family of 4 spent a day at the KSC after 3 days at Universal over Spring Break. (We enjoyed a few days at Cocoa Beach.) It was great! The Peanuts puppet show was my fave. I was truly in awe at the exhibits-really feeling all the feels!
I work for an optometry practice in Texas and our doctor actually performs the pre and post flight exams for some of the astronauts and our office provides the astronauts with their glasses and contact lenses required for the various tasks during their mission. I have met so many of the astronaut candidates as well as the active astronauts in person.
My husband and I were there this week (Monday & Tuesday) and we kept referring to it as Space Disney. We'd been to Huntington Space Center and the National Air & Space Annex in Chantilly VA to see Discovery earlier this year, and Kennedy blew them both out of the water. I highly the extra $25/person for the KSC explorer tour, and taking two days if you're a real space nerd. We had an awesome time, and plan to come back again next year to watch a launch.
That was Awesome. I was there a long time ago probably in the early 90's. After seeing your video I see I have to go back there. It looks like a blast. By the way my favorite Astronaut is Alan Shepard, also Neil Armstrong. Both Navy ! Also Gene Cernan. Also Navy.
Alan looks like he could be an astronaut, especially when he was walking on that bridge. I was there in 2018 and it was so awesome. We loved that trip there more than being at Universal. My hubby and I came from WA state for a visit with relatives and they took us to NASA for the day. It was breathtaking
My uncle was part of the team that created the launch rockets for Apollo 11. Have always loved NASA- visited only once…now inspired to go again! Many thanks!🤗
Heck, I'm not American and even I tear up at the Atlantis reveal...EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! >_< The KSC Visitor Complex is a great place to spend a day outside the theme parks!
love the Mustafar shirt Molly has on. I have the Dagobah and Kashyyk ones they did -- that whole "national Parks" inspired series of shirts is great and surprisingly good quality for those of us that need the hefty sizes ( I wear 5 XL)....
Great visit to the Space Center! Molly, you are one crazy human & I'm so happy about that. Made me laugh at all your impersonations. We were just there last year & was surprised to see the updates they've made. Definitely would go back again.
You know…. I’m a space girly like Alan. I was looking it up the other day and it’s only $10k per person to fly on one of those planes that lets you experience zero gravity 😆 I was expecting it to be much more expensive. Next Mammoth Club trip! 😂😂😂
Fantastic video! I haven't been to Kennedy Space Center since I was a kid. I really want to go back! I would love to see that Shuttle remembrance exhibit! Thank you for taking us along on your visit ☺️
This was so fun for me! I went there in high school on a church choir trip. Brought back so many memories and nice to see what's changed since the 1900s! 🤣
It’s a wonderful place to visit. The last time I went, I bought an annual pass for myself and regular tickets for the rest of the family. This gave us a number of perks that I was able to share that made things cheaper than if everyone had general admission.
We were on a Norwegian Cruise, and one of the excursions, was the KENNEDY Space Center. We opted to stay on the ship, but after watching this video, I wish we had gone.
I went with a friend on a long road trip to see the launch of the final mission of the space shuttle Endeavour in 2011 - I had no idea what to expect either and it was a real party. People everywhere, lots of astronauts doing autographs and Q&A's. To watch a lift off was unreal and (as an ocean girly myself), totally mind blowing. Definitely go to a launch if you can sometime.
I was not a space girlie, but just watching a VIDEO of the Atlantis reveal makes me cry. I can't wait to go to see the real thing (hopefully within the next year).
We've been twice - once just me and my husband and again with my son when he was 2.5. The first time we did the Early Space Tour where they took us into the Air Force base and we got to visit a lot of the historic launch sites up close. SUCH a cool tour. The second trip my son had an absolute blast playing in all the exhibits!
I got to see a rocket launch from there when I was a kid. We were a lot closer though. I wish I would’ve appreciated it more. I’m thankful my parents took us to Kennedy Space Center.
You should do a sea turtle nesting tour, you go out on the beach with a professional guided tour and watch sea turtles lay eggs, then they will dig up the nest count the eggs then mark the area for protection, it’s very cool to be a part of. Also could do eco kayak tour in Titusville to see the bioluminescent at night time. It’s like Pandora comes to life!
Went to KSC during COVID so didn't get to experience the whole experiences which sucked. They were building the Gateway building at the time which was spectacular looking (was just steel beams at that time). Didn't know at that time what is was going to be. The Atlantis experience was just incredible! The launch pad tours were closed and that's one of the things I was wanting so bad to see. Good to know that everything is open again. Didn't look like it was too crowded either. Thanks for the video it was nice to see that you all ventured out from Orlando and think you should do it more often. You all should go check out Legoland, just an idea... thanks for the vlogs, I enjoy watching you 2!
We use pens because graphite is conductive. You do not want random pieces of graphite tumbling through the cockpit connecting random circuit and causing fires in space.
We'll add this to the list of things blowing Molly's mind about space.
Also combustible things like wood.
The special pens are so they work without gravity
@@Mammoth_Clubp
@@sarahpillsbury9444 They'll also work underwater and on wax paper.
Surprised Molly didn't ask astronauts about the logistics of transportation of Lava
😊😂😅😂 love it...

Hidden Figures is an awesome movie about some of the amazing women who worked at NASA!
"steal the moon" made my morning 😂
Loved seeing Alan geek out! Also Molly's quote "If you put victorious music over any montage is about the triumph of the human spirit - I'm gonna cry" makes me think of classic Epcot.

Agreed
Absolutely
Agree
Molly and Alan you two are a joy to watch. Keep up being yourselves.
I would buy a shirt that says “If you put victorious music behind any montage that is about the triumph of the human spirit… I’m gonna cry.” That is me ❤️
Molly’s understanding of space makes me so happy! Buzz Lightyear is definitely the best astronaut 😁
love ❤
I cried like a baby at the "Forever Remembered" exhibit. I had no idea what was at the end of it. The exhibit inspires fear, pride, sadness, and all sorts of other emotions. So glad I was able to take my children to see this.
Brings back memories of my Space Camp days! I went right after the Challenger explosion and it was a pretty solemn experience.
I was in kindergarten in Orlando during the challenger teacher launch. I remember going outside to watch and being confused.
The astronaut interview was AWESOME!!!!! Well done. Loving the out of the Disney Bubble content.
Apparently I am more of a space girlie than I thought. This started me down an internet rabbit hole. Of the first 30 astronauts NASA hired there are six left. The youngest is 88. We just went about a week ago. Was much better than I expected AND we got to watch a night launch!
wow a night lauch

Alans laugh when Molly asked about Armegeddon lol.

Love Kennedy Space Center!!!❤
Molly’s outro was so extra and I loved it ❤
Yes! Love this video! More, please.
I love how you showcase places to learn, cities, and attractions beyond theme parks. Everyone should share the video on social media.
Thank you so much for this video! I work for NASA, so I really appreciate you putting the spot light on the life’s work of many of us in the space industry. During what can often be difficult times, we do what we do to inspire and bring hope! ❤
49:00 where's the 3 shells?
I hated the Space Center as a child. I hated it when I was 24. MAN, have they improved it in the past 30+ years! Much more to do now. Thank you for taking the trip out to the coast for us!
Molly’s excitement at a meet and greet 😂
You visited my hometown!!!😢 I'm so happy right now!!!
One of the few highlights of my life was back in 2012 right at the tail end of the Shuttle program they actually let you go INSIDE the VAB. You could feel all the history made in that room. Not ashamed to admit I shed a tear.

I think my favorite is the end, when Molly was doing all the music/ touching moments of all space movies! 😂
Hoping we can get some music related trips eventually. I love to see y'all do videos visiting Graceland or Paisley Park or the MJ Musical in NYC
The Ark, Disney Paris and Disney Japan too
Yayyy.. you guys are on my side of town!! Fun fact...They say the VAB (the big building) is so big that it creates its own weather systems. Clouds can form inside the building and it rains inside the VAB. That's so crazy huh!?! 🤯

I need to visit the Kennedy Space Center one day. Fun interactive museums like this are my favorite. Edutainment at its finest
Alan looks like he could be an astronaut, especially when he was walking on that bridge.
I was there in 2018 and it was so awesome. We loved that trip there more than being at Universal. My hubby and I came from WA state for a visit with relatives and they took us to NASA for the day. It was breathtaking
Buzz Aldrin is Molly's favorite astronaut because his name is BUZZ 😂
I think Buzz Lightyear is named after Buzz Aldrin!
Yay! I will watch this one at least one more time, because Space is AWESOME.
You nailed the outro, Molly! 😂 Speaking to someone who has been in space is so cool! I don’t blame you for wanting to “steal da moon”.
Molly, if you HAVE to try 40 Below Joe! Think Dippin Dots but coffee infused. 😍 They're from my home town!
Mollys outro 😆 and naming Zenon references throughout was a mood .
My uncle was part of the team that created the launch rockets for Apollo 11. Have always loved NASA- visited only once…now inspired to go again! Many thanks!🤗
Heck, I'm not American and even I tear up at the Atlantis reveal...EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! >_< The KSC Visitor Complex is a great place to spend a day outside the theme parks!
lol yes! Canada represent
I'd like to see Molly at Weeki Wachi Springs with the mermaids
love the Mustafar shirt Molly has on. I have the Dagobah and Kashyyk ones they did -- that whole "national Parks" inspired series of shirts is great and surprisingly good quality for those of us that need the hefty sizes ( I wear 5 XL)....

Fantastic video! I haven't been to Kennedy Space Center since I was a kid. I really want to go back! I would love to see that Shuttle remembrance exhibit! Thank you for taking us along on your visit ☺️
This was awesome, makes me want to go back. Last time there was 15 years ago and had two toddlers so didn’t get to really see it all! 😂😂
fun!!!
This was so fun for me! I went there in high school on a church choir trip. Brought back so many memories and nice to see what's changed since the 1900s! 🤣
The Playground was AMAZING for my toddler!
BOOP THE MOON 🌚

I grew up where Columbia sadly blew up over. I’ll never forget that day for as long as I live.
That was a tragic morning 😔
I would totally cry too. No shame!

I did that tour too. Molly would have enjoyed that tour, especially going to Apollo 1, where Armageddon was filmed
I’ve never considered visiting The Kennedy Space Center, but now I have to visit the next time I’m down in Florida.
This has been on my must see list FOREVER. Someday we’ll get there. Thanks for taking us to spahce! ❤
Fab video even more to see than the last time we were there. Can’t wait to return. Your face was so funny at the end of the video Alan 😂
Molly, you make me smile:)
Sweet! I love KSC!
Happy Wednesday, MAM fam! 💚🖤💚
The reveal of the Atlantis got me too!!
I went there on a school field trip years ago. What a throwback!
I got to see a rocket launch from there when I was a kid. We were a lot closer though. I wish I would’ve appreciated it more. I’m thankful my parents took us to Kennedy Space Center.
Loved, loved, loved, this video. thank you. You were pretty entertaining also!
Cool! Thanks for doing KSC. I have wanted to go for years.
STEAL DA MOON
have booked to spend a day at Kennedy next year can't wait hopefully get to see a launch next year

I have always wanted to go there. Now you've just solidified my destination, lol. Thank you for sharing this with us. ✌️🏃🌻🌴🌞
Amazing video!!! Thank you MAM 💖🔭🚀👩🚀
So when are y'all going to do Adult Space Camp?
@mammothclub my dad worked on the orion project! There is a really special story behind the first launch that never was told to the public
Your tour guide was so delightfully dorky.
fyi for others- KSC offers sleepovers in the space shuttle exhibit for youth groups. Super fun.
Went to KSC during COVID so didn't get to experience the whole experiences which sucked. Alan describing himself as a "space girlie" (or whatever other girlie he's expressing that day) will never not be adorable.
