It’s wonderful get these insights just days before seeing Steven Mcrae and Sarah Lamb perform Romeo and Juliet. Such an intricate degree of artistic collaboration between musicians and dancers is fascinating.

Thank you so much for this highly interesting insight! I genuinely love how the pianists talk about their careers and their passion for this job, because they´re normally in the background! Particularly fascinating for me as I also strive to be working as a pianist in an opera house in the future!

This is so interesting. As someone who knows a lot about dance and has done ballet for donkey's years, I know what makes a good pianist from a dancer's perpective but nothing about the musicians' point of view, and I wasn't really aware of the collaborative nature of the job. Tim's plié music made me want to rush out and do class immediately. It's so perfectly what a dancer needs.

As a flutist, that Midsummer Night's Dream tempo makes me feel out of breath. 😂 if I were doing that live, it definitely wouldn't be in a single breath!
