- A rondo is a keep away style drill where one team with numerical superiority tries to keep possession while the other team tries to take the ball away. These are excellent drills to help players work on thinking quickly on the ball, improve their passing, and communication with teammates.
Let's be honest, doing a simple keep away drill again and again could get boring after awhile. But don't worry, your players are sure to love these 7 rondo variations and reap all of the benefits of what rondos have to offer.

Brilliant summary!
Great possession sessions that will definitely be beneficial for the Garnets this season!! ye-ha!!
Very good rondo options 👍⚽️
These all look pretty good!!!
#6 was my favorite as a player. Another variation of it is to have the offensive areas about 30 yards apart of more. Once they get the certain number of passes, the offensive team then crosses the ball to the other team. The ball must be in the air and land in the area to get a point. If the receiving team can control the cross in their area, they get a point and the team who crossed the ball gets 2 points. If the cross is intercepted by the 2 defenders in the middle not in the offensive area, they can go 2v1 against the goalie and score
thanks for sharing 👏👏
EXCELLENT THANKS VERY MUCH
Thank you very much
Amazing👍👍👏👏👏👏

This is a good video
Your drill up and running
What size on the rondo squares is recommended for the various rondo's?
Could you add the dimensions of the grid for each drill and number of players please?
Even though I’m not a captain or a coach, I’m a player for my team and we do rondo’s normally, I always tell them to do what we do in training. So basically we are passing while we are pressured and pass to the open spaces while the defender is pressuring us and trying to tackle and pass to our teamates where the enemy can’t go in.
#7 whats the size of the field
#Rando!
Who could give this video a dislike? WTF.
With the 3 team possession drill, what happens if the defense intercepts it? Does it reset to the opposite side (the same as if it has gone our of bounds?)
Exactly!
Does it have a goalie
Volume of video needs to be louder
what to do on the last drill if the defending team won the ball?
wins*
The team that wins it tries to hold on for as long as possible, if they can keep it for a certain amount of time or passes they can earn a point
@@360Player thank you 🙏🏽
At what age groups would you suggest to use those rondo variations?!
Volume !😳😳
