  • In this video, I'm excited to try a new resin technique where I dip fruit in resin to create earrings, charms and preserve the fruit to be used for jewelry. I love creating fruit earrings with resin, and this method I am exposed to the resin as little as possible. If you saw my recent video "Resin Safety Precautions" you know I'm easily affected by epoxy resin, which inspired this quick process that I found to be very successful. Let me know what you think! First dehydrating strawberries, limes, clementine slices and lemon to create natural colourful shiny fruit gemstones.

    Thank you SO MUCH for this technique because this is exactly what I've been looking for!
    For some reason, not a lot of artists think of doing the dipping and letting dry resin technique, so finding someone doing this method without using a mold (which I don't want) was hard.
    My art requires needing to dip things into resin or sealants to maintain their shape before adding them onto my pieces, so this is perfect. Again, thank you so much!

    Hiya, came here looking for a video to hopefully avoid the issue I just had.
    Had to throw 1kg of resin out, because I mixed in the stuff to make the resin react and start getting thicker / go hard and didn't have enough time to dip my items into it. I managed to dip one, but it's just sticky and not dry at all.
    I have these wood necklaces I want to dip into resin for a small layer so it becomes waterproof. Do you have any ideas on how I should do this? Am I meant to wait for it to start to get really hot? Or is that too late? I have so many questions that my resin supplier didn't tell me about on the packaging 😅

    • @StephenWarrenArt
      @StephenWarrenArt  2 года назад +1

      @@killianblehm492 it might have picked up some moisture over time when being stored, if there is 0 moisture and the resin coat is thick enough they won’t mold.
