I had the privilege to meet and sing with Nancy Grandquist in my early 20s. I was so honored, and when I had the chance to converse with her privately, I asked her this same question about the anointing. Her answer “the anointing comes with sacrifice”. It’s something that I’ve always remembered and carried.
