All I have to say is thank you. I’ve been trying to achieve this style with my SUPER THICK hair forever and thought that my hairdresser had just screwed me.. the straightening on the under layer it the KEYYYYY I swear to gooooddddd I had no idea that this tip would totally transform my style. I love u as how straightforward you are with everything. You actually give tips and tricks that WORK
You're totally giving me Meghan Markle vibes. You look so much like her in this vid. So beautiful!! Keep the great informative vids comin! Xoxo from Dallas
Currently love using Davines Oi oil to tame frizz, and either Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 styling treatment or Kristin Ess Soft Shine Beach Wave Spray to get those beachy waves
Loreal Mythic Oil is my go-to! I use it before blow drying and also after I'm fully styled. It's lightweight and non-greasy, smells good, and the bottle lasts me almost a year of daily use. You can get it on amazon!
Thank you for uploading an easy textured/beach wave tutorial. Your hair is LIFEE! love it soo much that I am inspired to cut it the same length. Will definitely try to recreate it
Dacey, thank you so much for your hair tutorials--they are so helpful! You have changed my hair game on more than one occasion. This one helped me to finally get the wavy lob going and I have watched so many tutorials. Really appreciate all your helpful tips!
I cut my hair this lenght last week and was Having a little bit of trouble with styling. I love this video! Im going to try this way of curling. I used to always curl my hair horizontal which made it really wide. Always liked the second day where the curls are softer
I cut my hair like yours on the same day you did lol, what a coincidence. You look stunning as usual. I use the Kerastase VIP Texturizing Hairspray and it’s perfection. It’s like the Oribe but better 👍❤️
My hair isn’t your length but at one point it was! I used and still use the Herbal Essences - soft control creme gel whenever I do curls or waves. I put like a quarter size amount in my fingertips and rub it in between my palms and rake it through my curls and the scrunch. Kayley Melissa talks about it in her secret sauce waves tutorial. And she uses the same technique! It adds a little bit of hold but it gives my hair this really pretty piecey texture that I’m obsessed with. I’ll use it on my air dried hair sometimes too if I go to bed with my hair damp and wake up and it’s kinda wavy. It makes it all the better! Hope you love it if you decide to try it!
Really!? That sounds interesting! I wonder if it would work the same for me because my hair is naturally straight and most of the time scrunching does not work for me! It always ends up looking weird :( I usually need a little bit of a blow dryer to kind of help make it look a little more defined! But I will definitely have to check out that soft control creme gel because it sounds interesting nonetheless! I'm always here for a creme moment - I love how hydrating they are!
Dacey Cash my hairs super poker straight too! The only way I get waves is if I braid it over night curl it or sleep on it wet! I have shorter layers I’m trying to grown out and I use it when I braid my hair too to keep the pieces in. Kinda acts a little as a styling creme/hair putty type situation it just depends on how much you use.
If you want shiny hair like Dacey’s then try the Kenra platinum silkening gloss! It makes my hair look healthy and shiny (as long as you don’t use too much) 😌
I haven't tried that one! My FAAAVORITE thing for shiny hair right now has been the Oribe super shine cream! So many of you guys ask what I've used whenever I have that in my hair :)
My hair is currently the same length as your right now and I absolutely love it! I cut 5 and a half inches off my hair and it is the best thing that I have ever done! I have the same exact hair type as you as well, its straight but has a little wave to it as well. One product that I use that I think really helps give me a sleek look when I blow out my hair is the Garnier Fructis sleek and shine oil! I use it in my damp hair and i really see a difference when my hair is blow dried when I dont use the oil. The other thing that I feel like has helped my hair give body and shine is the John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner. I have people coming up to me all the time asking me how I get my hair that shiny and beautiful and its that combo of the shampoo and conditioner that has really helped my hair be so healthy! All of these products you can get at target or CVS. Hope this was helpful and love your channel! xo
Love love love ! I just recently cut my hair like this and love the Oribe texture spray ! I really think you would love Redken Windblown or Redken wax blast ! They are both very similar texture sprays that are perfect for these styles and smell like the beach ! I also love Redken Iron shape 11 as a heat protectant because it has memory and re style technology to help hold ur style Longer
man. i recently just cut my hair that length too and my hair is thick AF so i'm kind of regretting it cause i feel like it's so much easier when you have finer hair to like have that length and everything look good af lol
I had the same hair cut.. I took some time to know how to style it. Eventually, I found that it looks good if i leave the lower back pieces straight.. for the rest I tend to alternate waves direction.
I see a lovely maturity and sophistication in your style , looks and your essence as a woman. Found your vids recently and saw some early tutorials and vlogs andxreallt observed you coming into your own. Kinda like a proud mama..haha. Keep up the great work dear. Enjoying the very thoughtout and informative videos. All the best☺
Gurl, you can pull off any length of hair! and I totally agree with you on that ouai wave spray! It's amazing and it smells so GOOOOOD. I feel like the rest of their products are whatevs but that wave spray is truly a game changer! My stylist showed me the trick too of straightening the ends of your waves for a more piecey/beachy/relaxed look and OMG ive been obsessed ever since.
I love the Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray too! And the Oil! Oh gosh, I just have liked everything from Ouai.. haha I think it's also the amazing fragrances in the products I love too. Straightening the ends is such a game changer! It looks so model off-duty, I'm thoroughly OBSESSED haha. xx
I saw a insta video posted by the person who did your hair and I practiced for a couple of days and finally got the curling technique down! Lol its pretty life changing! I have similar hair like yours, asian and thick. So thanks for all the hair videos!!!
I’ve never been into styling my hair. Makeup and fashion of course but my poor hair is the most neglected...Maybe because it’s thick and I’d need an Arsenal of products. But your hair is so beautiful! Makes me want to get some of these products lol
I usually just wear the waves again on day 2! I honestly don't have a "schedule" with my hair because some days it needs to be washed back to back but sometimes it only needs to be washed once a week!
Loved this tutorial! Very informative and helpful now I know how to style my Lob hair cut I was the exact same way not knowing how to style it since I had long hair for so long, this video definitely came in handy ! Would love to see a how you blow out your hair tutorial next! Xoxo🥰
Great tutorial as always! Thanks for the tips. Can't wait to try these products, too! P/S your back drop looks really good now! Thanks for straightening the angles! :)

Omg my hair is the same length and whenever I curled my hair it would be wide but now I know just to keep the bottom layer straight!!
I cut my hair like yours on the same day you did lol, what a coincidence. You look stunning as usual. I use the Kerastase VIP Texturizing Hairspray and it’s perfection. It’s like the Oribe but better 👍❤️
Haha so funny! I'll have to check out the Kerastase Texturizer! I didn't know they had one! Thanks for the recommendation

Love your hair Dacey!! I have been wanting to cute mine but am too afraid.....Ahh You're tempting me to go for it!❤
Are you using T3 Clip barrel? They also have 1.1.25and 1.5 inch attachment!
Yeah! The clip is important
Hiiii. What do you do on day two? With a lob, I had a hard time styling my hair without washing it again. TY
Ofelia Andrade dry shampoo foam by quai is the best on day 2
