Tip: instead of easy/story, change the difficulty to very hard before fast travelling to a site, scan the desired critter. If it's apex, yer good to go (apex are more likely to drop purple coils instead of blue ones) If yer gear is squishy, dial it down to story mode. If the critter is not apex, try either reloading yer quicksave, or fast travel away, manual save, exit, then load in (do not resume), and it should be apex.
You can always sell the large machine core or the medium core. You always get them from most machines. They sell for a lot of shards. Looks like you had plenty of them from just looting

Hey I have quick question for anyone.. are the coils in the shop the only ones of their kinds in the game or can you get the same coils from farming? I say this because I have farmed for ages and cannot get another purple impact or purple explosive coil for hacl shit...just the purple coils of different elements ...basically what CAN'T you get from farming?
I killed many apex machines and have the same experience……only elemental coils. I guess a better way to get mods and eventually legendary mods will be there when the DLC will be released. More powerfull mods were released in Zero Dawn too, so im guessing that this is how it goes this time.

So Far Legendary mods are limited to Arena and Thornmarsh merchants! As of Patch 1.11 they included 3% purple All Element Deffense which can be looted easily from Orange and Purple Loot Chests!! Guessing DLC will add some really nice Mod Combos like Frozen Wilds did for HZD! Also it seems the highest element mods go up to 15%, Elemental combo mods are 7%, and Impact/Tear Mods are 12% MAX
This is not very useful, there is only one type of coil you'll get by doing this, that is elemental. Usefull coils like impact damage and tear damage won't appear.
i got a tear and impact purple today from there but 2 purple for 50+ runs... im not sure if that worts it. very tyring to get them. need a better location imo
Easy Loot is also not perfect, on some machines like ClamberJaws you won’t get their tail duster part unless you shoot it off even with EL turned on. The same with canons on Stormbirds. They must also be detached before the machine dies. EL also won’t prevent parts from being destroyed as you work on taking down machines. Beware of parts being destroyed by elemental explosions or destroying protective armour.
Your take down method of tremor tusk is loosing you extra shards.Your destroying components including tusks that are valuable that you can sell for shards.FYI,easy loot does not save stuff that gets destroyed.
@@ScottAble12345 like I mentioned,does not always save destroyed components.If you watch your video,you got only 1/4 tusks in one of your kills...This is my fav farm spot also.At the moment I have over 234,000 shards,more than half of that was from farming tremor tusks,but hey, if your happy with the shards you get,all the power to you.By the way,I had no idea about the Carja Trader armour,so thanks for that,just finished upgrading it.Should cut my time down a bit for my goal of 500,000 shards😁👍

I get it, but also the crafting requirements for the legendary armors are insanely unbalanced. I rather prefer people have a way to get the loot they need, and decided when to go back for a fun challenge.

I don't think it ruins the game, but it's totally frustrating for anyone who put the hours into grinding up the legendary weapons. IDK though, it does seem like a common, stupid decision that game devs do. They see UNGA BUNGA DAMAGE videos, worry that the core combat will be skipped over, and thus the primary point of fun/gameplay. It is a shame that they fell for the trap. I've been saying it elsewhere, but I felt like for the strength level the legendary weapons/armor are, and their grind, that they should have been Ultra Hard.

I also don't believe in rewarding crap gameplay. If someone sucks, make them practice til they are good enough to do it. Makes it more rewarding anyway. I hate it when there are any options at all that make the experience super easy, and that's what they have done here with such broad options, allowing you to make the game pathetically easy if you should so choose.

How is it your Death Seekr got the overdraw? Mine only does the normal shooting.

I honestly wish this game didn't have a Story Mode. It's too tempting to cheapen the game. I never will, my game will forever stay on Very Hard.
