Wow, that's quite a bit of money. But you have to remember, the car may cost 5K second hand, but brand new it was arounf 60K so you pay to maintain a 60K car. I want to get one of these w211 but with a V6 petrol, so the maintenance cost from this video has been helpful!
Yeah, that's the thing. Obviously you have to aware that it's going to cost you more than a VW Polo to run. But in my case, I'm lucky with the engine since this OM646 is widely used in Sprinters and stuff too so parts are cheap and plentyful.
I ended up changing the TC because it caused vibration when the clutch was enabled and disable, but didn't fix it. I'm pretty sure it's the valve now, but where did you order it?

Then I guess you have a pretty high income 👍I know Austrians and Germans HATE to talk about that :) I googled the median salary before taxes to be around 42.500€. If that's accurate then 300€-500€ is quite a chunk. And I guess for most people car ownership is more a neccessary burden due to sprawling single family housing...

The part number is V30-77-1013. I bought mine off eBay because the local Mercedes dealer wanted like double the money for it
