I love how expressive they are. 🩵 With all of their songs’ choreographies, they’re still able to add their own personality to it. And their dancing is always so tight. This is why I’ve said this for years: ATEEZ are a dance crew trained to be idols~ (^~^) 💕🦋
One of my fave performances/choreo's is actually UTOPIA!! at the ending, there is just such beautiful imagery, acting... tbh I just love the whole ending overall hahah!
ATEEZ is just amazing! I love their stage presence, crazy choreos and powerful dancing. I also think they have the best facial expressions. Btw Hongjoong (the leader) and Mingi are the two rappers in ATEEZ and they’re also involved in the lyrics and both write songs on their own. Mingi writes his own rap part on all their songs himself and Hongjoong was involved in the production of almost all ATEEZ songs including the title songs and he also composes the songs. Some of his own songs are even in the ATEEZ albums! For example he made Horizon, Win, Aurora or Good Little Boy. (And Yeosang is also learning to compose right now, Hongjoong teaches him) Additionally I like they’re agency (KQ Entertainment) bc they seem to have fun and KQ cares for their mental health which is very important I think. San blows me away every single time. His sheer energy and near-possession on stage (I mean, we call him Choi Sa(ta)n for a reason) make him so captivating from his eyes rolling back in his head, the grins that kind of make you fear for you life (but not as much as Hongjoong's Joker grin) and then *literally* throwing himself on the ground with that neck snap move. Everyone is amazing at this, but Hala Hala is hands down San's song to go nuts on. A rec: Dreamcatcher. 100% you will never find a girl group doing what they do. (If you like Ateez's sound - Dreamcatcher also uses two of the same producers, but DC go more for rock than edgy) They're about to have a comeback on the 26th, but check out Scream or Boca's dance practice. (You'll miss some of the references without the MV, but the Dystopia story arc is about hateful and hurtful comments, analogous to medieval witch hunts and modern-day cyberbullying - in Scream, they see the hateful things, in Boca, they're warning people that if they can't say nice things, they will find their mouths locked up and never able to utter a hurtful thing ever again. Think about that for a sec - a girl group taking that on.) Oh yeah, they're also vocal queens that sing absolutely live, even with their intense choreography. (And I mean intense. They've also covered a bit of Hala Hala's dance and absolutely nailed it for a boy group medley.)

I would love you to react more to ateez :D I like when people who actually know something about dance react to kpop idols!! (and ateez is my fave soooo hehehe) I find it hard to recommend certain choreo's/performances, bc I like them all. But with ateez there is a clear dividing of performances, you have the hard going/edgy ones like HALA HALA, Say My Name, Thanxx, Pirate King etc... and you have the softer, bright/happy ones like Wave, Illusion, Utopia, Aurora etc... The things I love about ateez's choreos are: - the levels! They play with levels (learnt this through reaction watching hehe) - the imagery, when you are more familiar with their concept, you'll notice these faster. But in several choreographies you'll find that they imitate a ship, sailing a ship, or waves etc - The expressions!!! They elevate every performance!!! - the unique style of each member. Each member has their own way to actually do a move. They add their own style/flavor to it! The members even joke around about woo young and San doing this too excessively XD - the formations! I've heard that an even-number group isn't that convenient for dancing formations, but ateez always makes these beautiful formations! They overall move around a lot! change positions/formation throughout their songs! - They keep improving/changing choreography for older songs! As for recommendations: 1) ateez covered Exo-Growl, and made their own choreography for the 2nd half!
