I used to weigh boxes just to see if sellers can tell a difference and they can. There are two ways weight and the packing order. Topps Museum was the worse bc the hits were frames or booklets that weigh much heavier in the box. Thank you for bringing this to everyone’s attention. I wish I knew this 3 years ago.
sometimes the auto cards will have a slight bow to them, so when there upside down in the pack, you can rub your finger over the sides and feel for an anomaly inside the pack. i pulled a prism auto (James Krause red /99) because I felt the side of the pack and it was different than the others. Im sure there are other ways as well. Love the videos man, Keep em coming

I've gotten my 10 year old son into the hobby and stuff like this pisses me off because it greatly reduces the rate of my son finding a pack that may have an auto, which he has never done yet, and he could care less about the value, he just has the love for collecting. There were issues with serial numbers in basketball cards where people could pretty reliably find a Kaboom - if there's a serial on those hangers I'd look into that. Not cool if it's the same deal.

I do not know this is done but it is very assumptive. I bought a retail box of hobby and figured out which one had the pulsar. It’s concerning that people go into stores and do this. Thanks Joe for bringing this to light, tbh I’m not sure how they can stop it.

I know what you mean about the joy of opening packs- that's why I rip them every day on my channels haha (UFCCardsPhilthyBreaks), but I have been able to do this with my Donruss Hobby Box packs too (for my own personal use, not trying to sell or anything. For me it's all about the sides of the cards, it feels like an insert almost, just a much different feel than the base cards / press proofs in the middle. They should never sell packs in packing where you can essentially feel the cards, people will always try to feel before they buy.

Weighing packs has always been a thing. These people probably buy all the packs, weigh them, then resell them as heavy or not heavy. Panini will never fix this but I think pokemon started putting blank cards in bad packs to make them weigh the same.
At least w hotpacks u get something good. Separately I wish these cards were cheaper for kids& others to get into more. $20 for a pack of cards is ridiculous

Thanks for making this video. I was actually tempted to grab a hanger when I was at Target and glad I didn’t. It’s most likely weight - a lot of TCG’s had this problem years ago, they fixed it by adding inserts to vary the weight. Hope the issue gets addressed for future products.

This really makes me mad too..now I really appreciate my LCS sells me blasters & such by the case. Allows me to buy 1 or 2 a week. & the case stays in the back room w/ my name on it.
Crazy I just bought 2 packs at target and I got that same Johnny walker Auto in one pack and a Lilia Photon in the other pack. So maybe that target wasn’t hit yet and I got Lucky but that goes to show you how Panini actually does give you hits in these hangers and it sucks that they get sorted out by certain individuals that know which ones have them and leave us nothing

Not sure if Panini can fix the issues when the cards are in packs. Wish they would go back to hanger boxes just for this reason. I love to Rip and my best hits are always when I hit a fresh restock. The left overs are there for a reason 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks for sharing
This upload hurt my stomach.. I literally, a few months ago, got 16 hangers from Dave and Adam's out of 16 packs I got one auto something doesn't seem right... packs were on sale for $8 a pack.. I decided to get a case but they weren't in a case..
