Nah I also have a mtb and have gone speeds close to this and stopped even faster. You just gotta know your weight distribution and how to balance the use of you front and rear brake. Almost all your braking comes from the front.
My top speed on my mtb with Continental Contact Urban 29x2.20 tires is 76.3 km/h. I also have aerobars installed. Using 48T chainring from my 3x crankset and 11T cog.
The fastest I’ve gone was on a shwinn crosscut. 63mph. I was 15 and all I had was a bone helmet. Maxed out 27speed, at least 80-90 rpm at my feet. 27” bike. Get this, I had old school first gen, center pull rim brakes. Yeah, I was dumb.

rcs2003 is it? Have you tried doing it yourself? As a person who reaches 30 mph on a MTB I can tell you it’s insanely scary to do it on a downhill track. On flat going 30 mph is harder for your legs specifically but it’s WAY easier in general cuz your lungs and heart aren’t subjected to such amount of stress and pressure as they normally receive when you’re riding downhill.

I believe the point is he can go fast, Super Human. I believe he has Bigger Balls , BB's, than me. When I ride my MTB on trails I wear full gear. He must love road rash if he goes down.
Probably showing that switching to slick tires on a mountain bike will significantly raise your speed and efficiency on tarmac thus demonstrating that you don't need a gravel bike if you want to go for long rides of mixed pavement.

If you ride 5kph on a bike, you are at walking speed and depending on your skill, start to swerve from side to side. This guy clearly goes faster than walking speed, if you look at the bike's stability

my top speed on mountain bike is 31 mph with no tailwind or downhill. It's all about how you position your body. Gotta be as straight as possible.
