This packaging is amazing. Truly world class engineering. Normally not a fan of engine swaps but this isn’t even comparable to that. Great video as ever and after all this time I still watch the intro. 👍🏼
there's basically no mini left. it's just the shell with toyota celica running gear, mg zr electronics and a few componentes from other cars (mitsubishi l200, peugeot 205, toyota aigo, nissan micra, mercedes A-class, citroen xsara and citroen c2)
All joking aside, this thing is going to be the single most badass custom car on the planet. I mean, the effort put into that freaking WASHER RESERVOIR!? I can't imagine watching any other other channel and being captivated by watching someone build a WINDSHIELD WASHER tank!? Bravo, gentlemen.
Tremendously enjoyable, interesting and inspiring. It's impossible to exaggerate how much I enjoy these episodes. I suppose tremendously, at the very least. The washer fluid container alone deserves a prize, to say nothing of fame, fortune and possibly a knighthood.
Instead of the choccy block I can highly recommend getting a handful of Wago 222 or the newer 221. I use them all the time for connecting things temporarily. They can handle very small wires (I regularly use them on 0,2mm2) up to 4mm2 and they hold on to them like lives (pun intended) depended on it. They are also a great way of connecting stuff more permanently, though probably not in a car.
I am now racing through the episodes for this excellent built... The more, I watch the more upset I get as there is no way I can tackle something like this.... Excellent at every level.. Keep up the good work

Reading some of these posts talking about how long it has taken these guys to do this project.... Honestly, they probably have a full time job along with other projects they are working on. If you have the need to complain how long this has taken then you may want to think about finding something productive to do with your life in the mean time as these guys are in no rush just to make YOU happy. Might be time you started a project of your own if they are not moving fast enough for your static body, besides if they rushed through it you wouldn't have anything to look forward to (Slow is Smooth, Smooth is Fast). These guys have some pretty good craftsmanship and ingenuity. Love watching how they problem solve and craft their own parts,..... and..... brackets lol !!!BUILD ON!!!
the amount of engineering time you guys put into things could get humanity to Alpha Centauri, and here you are, putting it into an absolutely insane Mini instead. I think some props are are in order for that level of dedication.
I Just want to let y'all know that when I started watching this I fixed trucks for a living. I went to school and now I fix planes. I learned how to fix planes in the time it took y'all to build all of the brackets. Best show ever thanks guys!

I ended up going to a different school and never got a car, but I finished the two-year education, got a job and pretty soon I'll have finished my 3rd year in the industry - and you guys are still not done 😂

I did spot that myself, should be a 2 bar min if you assume Niks only going to run up to a max of 14.5psi which should be good for just under 300bhp, more than enough in a mini, I had a similarly specced rev2 3sgte engine in a MK1 MR2 and it was more than enough for a road car, It can always be swapped out for 3 bar later down the line with bigger injectors and turbo (if there's enough space) once binkys on the road and running. That or knowing Nik he's changed his bloody mind AGAIN and decided to go nat/asp with throttle bodies and a BEAMs head on it

I did some wired maths and got around 7500 hours..... per person. Considering there are 8760 hours in a year..... this is a very reasonable number.
But certainly the HIGHEST quality.

The mini shell is just a prop to hold all the brackets. Once that's finished they will remove the one remaining mini panel and unveil a transformer.

I was wondering what will happen if the motor mounts wear off and the engine starts to move a little.
Nick will fabricate an overly complicated bracket to address any such movement......

I did spot that myself, should be a 2 bar min if you assume Niks only going to run up to a max of 14.5psi which should be good for just under 300bhp, more than enough in a mini, I had a similarly specced rev2 3sgte engine in a MK1 MR2 and it was more than enough for a road car, It can always be swapped out for 3 bar later down the line with bigger injectors and turbo (if there's enough space) once binkys on the road and running.
That or knowing Nik he's changed his bloody mind AGAIN and decided to go nat/asp with throttle bodies and a BEAMs head on it
