This remake is absolutely incredible! The nostalgia and anxiety comes flooding back! They did a great job with this. I never knew the zombies had cauldrons on their backs. I just remembered it as shiny things. The 3D art style is perfect for this game.
@@lorenzotagliaferri6342 On Legend mode it's definitely harder than all the previous G&G games (imo). One thing that contributes to that is the sheer length of the levels. Arthur also moves at a similar speed to Super Ghosts n Goblins Arthur but with a similar jump to original Ghosts n Goblins Arthur, so it really makes for a lot of swearing and stress 😂
I guess its a regional thing for me but open ended burritos seem like a terrible idea. Taquitos are smaller and filled with less stuff so they make more sense to me. Less likely to all spill out. Ive never had an open ended burrito.

If I recall correctly, armor upgrades were distributed by breaking consecutive chests. And each chest has its own unique trigger to make it appear. The 1st upgrade gives upgraded weapons, while the second gives magic attacks unique to each weapon. After that comes shields that can block ranged attacks. If you're in your skivvies, you'll get a standard armor after a couple chests.
Ryu, besides all the entertainment, one of the things that makes me most thankful for you is how you always challenge yourself. All these games you choose the hardest difficulty, which has inspired me to start doing the same, and has made gaming so much more alive for me lately!
Try out Plok on the SNES. There’re two difficulty levels, Normal and Child’s Play. Normal mode is IMPOSSIBLE to beat all the way through. The challenge starts at the first boss and thereafter. SUPER fun game. Highly recommended!! This is comment #2
I once paused this game for an entire day when we went out back in the day. Didn't want to lose progress. My dad was in on it. My mom, not so much. She complained about the electricity we used by leaving it running all day. Lol. 80s gaming at its best.
15:44 doesn't the original had this awkward double jump for situations like this? Like you jump to your doom and before falling all the way jump again but only a specific distance... I remember never getting used to that mechanic xD
I just learned about this game last night. I grew up with Ghouls N Ghosts on Genesis. As a five year old, I played it non stop for years. I know every pixel of the game and can beat it on a lunch break comfortably. I was shocked last night to learn they remade my childhood. I turn it on and it’s MUCH harder than anything else I’ve ever played, but God damn does it feel good. This is a dream come true for me. Thanks Capcom for not rejecting this franchise forever. Now to make a spiritual successor to UN Squadron/ Area 88....

Legend difficulty made Dark Souls look like Club Penguin. I'm not sure I've ever seen Ryu so worked up and focused while desperately fighting for every inch of progress.
Somehow knowing Ryukahr he would be VERY attracted to the maximum difficulty setting especially with what title it had as there is one thing I know Ryukahr loves more than difficult games is the titles that come with doing these games.

I usually don’t watch your hard games series because they often are ”too retro” for me. This remake however is really cool and the graphics with the gameplay are really neat altogether. This was awesoem to see and redone form my nightmares as a child. Favorite parts were the "water kills you" and Yea this is why i chose legendary difficulty" ♥♥
A few hints and questions: 1.) Can you double-jump? You could in SGnG on the SNES. 2.) Chests appear depending on what spots you hit on the screen. Their contents are based on a pattern and the armor you're wearing. 3.) You should be able to outrun red arremers, but it's very difficult. They usually have a spot in every level they can't cross and fly away. 4.) I think it's better to fight arremers, here are some tips for that. Inch away from them, anticipating their divebomb attack, throw weapons at different heights to lure them down. If you can, attack them from underneath or from up top, but get away before they charge you. If you have weapon that shoots upwards, like the crossbow in SGnG, you can just trap them between projectiles, makes fighting them really easy. You can lay a carpet of fire on any ledge with the torch and bait them into flying through it, that's very effective. Use magic against them if you have the right armor. 6.) Be very aggressive with your attacks and moving in on enemy territory, especially in boss fights! At best, you can survive one hit while bosses are damage sponges, so the longer the fight lasts, the higher the chance of you getting hit. Hit them first, hit them often! 7.) You chose legendary, so don't beg the mobs for mercy! XD Good luck!

A week ago I beat ghost and goblins the original on professional LOL so mad when I had a replay it all over again with the new item it's freaking hard finally got the credit screen

Can you use the specials on the new weapons when you get the golden armour you just need to charge the attack button.
