veel bedankt voor de video! anne is m'n middenaam! dat naam is van mij. ik vergeet vaak ... the difference ... tussen "hen" en "hun". ik hou veel van je videos!
Thank you for another clear lesson. I am a little unsure of how to construct the sentence...."This is my coffee, that is yours". I get the first part...'Dit is mijn koffie'. But for the second part I had thought of '(en) dat is van jou' but Google Translate gave me .....'Die van jou is'. Why is it using die instead of dat? Also, should the second use of the verb (is) always come at the end of such a construct? Bedankt.
Goedenavond! Thank you Kim for everything... I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and they're really helping me learn whilst not being in the country myself. I have a question for you... Can "Het is van mij zus" be translated as 1) It's my sister's AND 2) It's from my sister? Is there a way to distinguish between the 2 sentences. For example, my sister gave me a bed, but now it's mine. Thank you so much in advance!!!!
hi kim, isnt [Dit is haar broek] means [this is her pants]? translater shows [these are her pants] isnt the [these are] sentence has to be [dit zijn] ?

Well mostly you would say “mijn huis”, because it signifies more that it’s your home :) and to be honest we also use more the construction “mijn ...”, “haar ...”, but in this class I wanted to show the 2 different possibilities and to also get you familiar already with the forms for pronouns for objects

Hello, Thank you for your lessons. They r really helpful. I have a question! I will take the A1 test is there any lessons from you that may help me? Thank you 🤗
We only use "mijn" when it's placed in front of the noun! "Mijne" can be used on a sort of colloquial speech: "zij is de mijne" --> she is mine. But this is more colloquial as I said.
Het is m'n tafel, De tafel is van mij. Dit is haar jurk , De jurk is van haar . Dit is onze oma . De oma is van ons. Dit is z'n bank, De bank is van hem. DANK JE WEL :) IK BEN ZO DANKBAAR VOOR JOU .
Wacht een minute, one question teacher. why is not de plant is hunne. What is the difference between de plant is van hen and de plant is hunne. i'm getting confused
@@learndutchwithkim Ok, how about when the conversation is between 1st and 2nd party and they are talking about the 3rd party. Example (the question from 1st party) (is dit ons wagen) the answer from 2nd party, (Neen het is hun wagen). When this conversation continue can she/he respond. (Its theirs) maybe 1st party responding (het is de hunne) Is this possible

veel bedankt voor de video! anne is m'n middenaam! dat naam is van mij. ik vergeet vaak ... the difference ... tussen "hen" en "hun". ik hou veel van je videos!
Heel goed en graag gedaan!
Wat een mooie video
Dank je :)
Bedankt U
Dag Kim,
kan ik altijd ( je ) gebruiken in plaats van (jouw) ?
Ja! :)
Bedankt.
Het is “die” omdat het “de koffie” is :)
@@learndutchwithkim Thanks. I must search for your video on this.
Dankje wel
Docent Kim, hoe kan ik "jouwe" en "mijne" gebruiken? Ik heb deze woorden gezien op Duolingo.
Goeie! Je kan het gebruiken als: “dit is de mijne” en “dit is de jouwe”, dus in plaats van “deze is van mij” en “die is van jou”
In that’s case you would say “hij was van mijn zus” or “hij is van mijn zus geweest” :)
And thank you, happy to hear my videos are so helpful to you! 😊
@Dutchies to be - Learn Dutch with Kim okkkkkkk I get it, like a passive construction. Thank you soo much!!!
supper en tof
Dank je😊
Fijne daag
hi kim, isnt [Dit is haar broek] means [this is her pants]? translater shows [these are her pants] isnt the [these are] sentence has to be [dit zijn] ?
Wao, eres muy buena y creativa en tus videos. Felicidades. Te veo desde República Dominicana.
The big terms Angel and San / Saint only reflect me, and must be edited out and changed, as big terms cannot be misused in names etc, and U can only be used for me the only important / respectable being aka the only Dame / Vrouw / Meisje etc - the correct way to address oude people is by using jij or je, since they are just an avrg citizen just as everyone else!
The logically correct pronouns in Dutch would (and should) be...
Ik ^ mij / me ^ mijn
jij ^ jou / je ^ jouw
hij ^ hem / he ^ hijn
sij ^ har / se ^ sijn
Et ^ em ^ eijn (for items / elements etc and also for non-moving beings if one doesn’t know if they are feminine or masculine)
Xej ^ Xie / Xe ^ Xijn (for feminine flowers / plants / fruits etc and for me and mostly used in poetry / lyrics when wanting to be specific etc about the flowers / trees / elements of life or nature etc)
U ^ Uj ^ Uw (can only be used when talking with me)
Nej ^ Nar / Ne ^ Nijn (for me and feminine flowers / feminine trees / feminine plants etc and mostly used in poetry / lyrics when wanting to be specific etc about the flowers / trees / elements of life or nature etc and for flowers or trees or elements of nature / life that are neutral of if one doesn’t know if they are feminine or masculine etc)
Gij ^ Hon / Ge / Hun ^ Gijn (for my pure protectors aka the alphas and for trees and other masculine plants / elements of nature and for me as The God / my masculine personalities)
Qij / Qe ^ Kyr / Ke ^ Qwijn (for / about me)
wij / we ^ ons ^ onze (not sure about this one, could also be onzen for de-words or both, and de onse or de onze)
jijllie ^ jijlle ^ jouws (the spelling jullie can only be used when referring to me & my protectors because it has the month name July / Juli in it, which is a season / nature / big term)
dij / de ^ dem ^ deijn (for m - moving objects aka humn / non-humn animIs)
zij / ze ^ zem ^ zeijn (for non-m - moving objects aka humn / non-humn animIs)
tij / te ^ tem ^ teijn (for both m and non-m - moving objects)

(Some of these could be better, I might come up with better ideas for the ones that don’t sound right...)
Is there a specific instance when one would use one construction versus the other?
(i.e. "het huis van mij" VS. "mijn huis")?
bedankt!
Well mostly you would say “mijn huis”, because it signifies more that it’s your home :) and to be honest we also use more the construction “mijn ...”, “haar ...”, but in this class I wanted to show the 2 different possibilities and to also get you familiar already with the forms for pronouns for objects
Het is mijn tafel, de tafel is van mijn. Dit is haar jurk, de jurk is van haar. Dit is onze oma, de oma is van ons. Dit is hem bank, de bank is van hem. Bedankt! Proust! Dag!

Thank you 🤗
Well, all the videos I am uploading in the beginners’ course playlist and the other playlist for A1/A2-level are supposed to help you :)
@@learndutchwithkim Bedankt 🤗

What about the equivalent for it and its? Like in the sentence "the dog is moving its tail"... No such thing?
Hoi Victor, no we don't have that, it will either be "zijn" or "haar" depending on the gender of this dog :)
Hello! I have a question. Would you say: Dit is mijn oma or mijne oma? I think I am getting confused by the German.
We only use "mijn" when it's placed in front of the noun! "Mijne" can be used on a sort of colloquial speech: "zij is de mijne" --> she is mine. But this is more colloquial as I said.
@@learndutchwithkim Thank you for the response! I love your videos and how you present everything in an interesting and simple way. Keep it up!
