Thank you for mentioning that. I will admit, I did have Frostallion Noct on the list at one point (technically they were #11 on my list), but I was trying to suggest some pals with multiple skills since a decent amount of them were already 1 skill pals. That being said, I should have at least had it as an honerable mention. I'll pin your comment so hopefully others will see it as well. Thanks for the comment!
the extra level for frostnoct does not double the yield, it just increases it by 5. so for my money he's not worth it as a base pal because lyleen can plant and harvest without help. great combat mount tho.
I prefer Astegon over Blazamut bc he's dark and works all night and already having Jor Ignus for kindling...its been tested that Dumud chowder is the best food to give your pals bc the of the work speed buff + keeps them full longer while restoring the most sanity & nutrition which causes them to take less breaks, same reason why its good to mix in Workaholic and/or Diet Lover to your base pals so they take less breaks resting or eating or getting upset & refusing to work...last tip would ve throwing in some maxed Shroomer Nocts & Lullu's in your base to reduce sanity depletion and speed up crop growth..I rarely go to bed in game so personally i go with Artisan, Work Slave, Nocturnal, and Workaholic w/ like 3 Shroomer and at normal work speed they're always in condition and working hard
Lullu is a waste of space if you have a maxed Lyleen and a maxed Jormuntide. It's easier just to add more crops and use that slot for breeding or another worker. I do nothing but salad for the workers and I haven't had to use meds on a Pal for in ages. I have two lyleens and two jormantides supporting 4 bases and 4 breeding farms without issue. Usually people with sanity issues have base configuration issues--eg food or storage is too far from the worksite or they're putting in massive orders for 1 star pals instead of breaking up the work across bases.
@@TurboLoveTrain nah I caught my Lyleens doing nothing a few times and decided Lullu was a must...w/ 50 pals at the base 2 spots for constant crop production is great...i have 2 bases w/ 10 farms each and 2 w/ 3 and my Lyleens never move from the crop area...if I added more crops i would have to add another refrigerator and a frostallion to man it and then worry about pathing on top of it...I do max production on everything so Dumud Chowder is the way to go...salad is ok but its not for max efficiency, im going for max efficiency
@@mockmansini The not moving Lyleens is a glitch--you've got to reload the game. I'm not sure why you'd need any fridges at all. The cooled feed bowl is a must so the food goes straight into cooling after harvest and if you keep the top left corner stocked with food they'll never touch anything else. I only have two cooling pals on two bases and they are very central to everything so they double as feed and storage. My two lyleens easily support 4 breeding stables and 4 bases and they still have idol time to assist my annubuses with production--running game defaults. I have excess food, I'm actually considering downsizing my farms.
I think the easiest way I can explain this is lyleen will always be significantly faster at planting and harvesting than even a sped up growth time can compete with. Pllanting-and-harvest is your pacing item not growth-time otherwise add more fields because your lyleen isn't maxed. You can add another lyleen and double your fields or you can add a lullu to increase your growth time but lower your planting and harvest speed. Try it--add more fields (and make sure your field stacking, lyleen should barely have to move to work. If lyleen is always planting and harvesting the growth timer almost doesn't matter at all. You just have more fields growing at once but your output is greater.
Funny enough, I was just complaining about that earlier today 😂 I have light poles all over one of my bases and every time I spawn in there is at least one stuck on top of one of the poles. I'll try to mention that in any future relevant videos!
yeah i hate jorms because even when they do work right they flail like crazy and glitch all over the place. It just makes the base look stupid. because aesthetics are important to me, i use 4 star blazehowl nocts for kindling and 4 star elphidran aqua for watering. They are plenty fast enough for me and I like their designs.
Refrigeration pals and Electric palls on the oil bases must be nocturnal. I never realized how much milk and eggs (mostly milk though) that I was losing until I got a nocturnal cooling pal. Same with cave mushrooms--with a nocturnal frostallian my cave mushrooms last for days (real time days, not game time). My oil output literally doubled when I made all my Orsteks nocturnal (I use 2 large power generators per oil rig and 2 Orsteks per power generation unit). When they aren't powering the oil their transporting.
That's great advice! I didn't mention Nocturnal since I personally sleep through most nights unless I need a certain pal or something along those lines, but I could definitely see how that passive skill could be very useful. That being said, with the work speed upgrades I mentioned in the video, 1 Orserk can actually power 3 large generators with no issue at all. I still have 2 at every base just so 1 isn't non-stop working, but 1 fully upgraded Orserk can easily power an entire base. Thanks for the comment!
@@speakerheadgaming I use multiple Orsteks because they power and transport all night. I have some dark type miners and they don't sleep either. I'm pretty sure even if you "sleep" the food timer doesn't completely stop. 2 Orsteks per extraction/power source run the whole show--not just the power part.
@@rwulf I had a problem with my Lyleens and realized that they prioritize harvest over planting. I swapped 1 of my 3 lyleens to only plant and my farm production almost doubled because of it. Before they would harvest everything and than go back through and plant which would add a grow lag--swapping one to only ever plant guarantees there is always something growing.
You pretty much covered them all mayne. Keep the info comin. I’m going for max efficiency. Currently working on breeding a couple of good Chikipi’s. They don’t breed with anything else so it’s hard. I have artisan and serious so far. Gonna keep trying to run into a lucky. If not conceited will just have to do. I can go back later in case I end up running into one down the line. Tryna get these eggs crackin!😅😂
you want nocturnal over lucky as working through the night is worth 15% more daytime effectiveness. i think nocturnal, artisan, serious, work slaves the ideal for any ranch pal
I disagree nay disapprove with Wumpo being on this list. Frankly he's far too slow to make use of transporting as a that only improves how much they can carry in one go. Problem is that it doesn't matter if you can carry double if you are x3 times slower. Lumbering is probably his best trait. And even then I'd argue there are better alternatives.
yeah wumpo sucks. way too slow. there are actually two different types of good transporters. For ranches, transporters only pick up one item at a time, no matter how many are on the ground. So the only thing that matters is movement speed. vanwyrm is best. For other types of bases, you want pals that pick up as much as possible while still moving as quick as they can. knocklem beats wumpo by a mile. Try to design bases so that you only need one sort of transporter or the other, otherwise they just get in each other's way.
Agree. If you need a transport than both Orserk and Ragnahawk cover that role while also doing other tasks. If you need lumber throw a Bushi or Bushi noct in. Bushi fills up your lumber up like a champ and fills in both in transport and kindling.
@@rwulf Movement speed doesn't matter: It's a design issue, not a speed issue. There should always be a collection point right next to the production point. Don't forget Frostalion Noct! It has Gathering 4 (for some reason ...) and therefore provides twice as many resources per field compared to Lyleen.

Why not feed them pizza or Mozzerina burgers instead of Dumud chowder?
Problem is with the Jormuntides is they path like shit in the base and always get stuck on everything often leading to them starving.

I agree that nocturnal is a top 4 worker passive. Not only does it double the time they work each day, you don't need beds in your base.
nocturnal, serious, artisan, work slave on jobs where work speed matters
replace nocturnal with lucky if they are Dark type
