Where should I start with scattered milfoil in the backs of creeks? It’s not thick or topped out
1/4 trap or chatter/spinnerbait!
Dead sticking baits and all kinds of ways to fish during the fall. One is free rig a floating bait, and don't work it. Let it float up into the bass face and just let the water give it action.

We have no shad up north, what do you suggest for bluegill forage?
Hard to beat a jig for that! Look for grass lines close to deep water
They key in on the profile more than anything. Swimjigs with ZMan goat rigged vertical gets smashed for bluegill or a rage bug rigged vertically. It matches the profile perfectly on a 3/8oz Swimjig. Try it you won’t be disappointed

I know it is tough, but this is one of my favorite times of the year to fish. I like lipless and small swimbait fishing and have recently been becoming a big fan of finesse jigs with small paddle tail trailers. Thanks for the tip on the app. I loaded it up and will try it out on my next trip.
