Travis explains how he got into logging and horse logging in particular. He has had many people help him out but Jason has taken to mentoring him both at Jason's farm and at Travis'.
We listen as they discuss their relationship as teacher and student as well as friends. We watch them work together with Jason's Brabant horses and see and hear many very important lessons.
Jason shows off his Brabant horses and explains how he uses his more experienced horses to train new ones for logging. He uses their different experiences and temperaments to teach them, step-by-step , to be logging horses.
There are many teachable moments in maneuvering the horse draft horse team and logging cart to just the exact positions to lift, position and remove the logs safely, for both the horses and teamsters.

Friends are invaluable! It's wonderful to see the trust between the people themselves, and the horses- a real team here!

So good to see someone helping another. Bonus of seeing well trained horses in the bargain

Horses are a lot easier on the land than machinery.
I have found through experience that a horse that is treated right will go to the wall for you.
