আজ দত্ত বাড়িতে খুশির সীমানা নেই। বাড়ির মেয়ে অসাধ্য সাধন করেছে। ইউপিএসসিতে র‍্যাঙ্ক করে তাক লাগিয়ে দিয়েছে অশোকনগরের বাসিন্দা গৌড়হরি দত্ত ও অপর্ণা রাহা দত্তের মেয়ে ব্রততী দত্ত। কোনও কোচিং ছাড়াই দেশের সব থেকে কঠিন পরীক্ষার বেড়া দুর্দান্তভাবে টপকে টাক লাগিয়ে দিয়েছেন তিনি। সর্বভারতীয় এই পরীক্ষায় তাঁর র‍্যাঙ্ক ৩৪৬। হাবড়ার বাণীপুর জওহর নবোদয় আবাসিক স্কুল থেকে পড়াশোনা ব্রততীর। ছোট থেকেই পড়াশোনায় বেশ মেধাবী ছিল সে। দ্বাদশ শ্রেণির পর ব্রততী বিশ্বভারতী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় থেকে স্নাতকে কৃষি নিয়ে পড়াশোনা করেন। এরপর ওড়িশায় সিড সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজি নিয়ে স্নাতকোত্তর করে সে এবং মেলে স্বর্ণপদকও। তবে এইসবের মাঝেও এই কৃতি ছাত্রীর লক্ষ্য ছিল প্রশাসনিক পদে যাওয়ার।
