That intro is so spot on...I spent 10 mins today working a "big fish" including multiple fly changes, only to discover I was working a long stick broken up by a rock on top lol
I learned how to fly fish on that stretch of water. Have not been to that part of NM in a few year and this video has made me commit to going back there next summer. Great video. Got lost on a creek just up stream from there and took me a while to find the trail.
Great video as always... Just out of curiosity, It wouldn't be a little bit easier for you if you use a net? P.D: As a native spanish speaker, your french is great!
7:56 "Ah he's talking". I always find it so damn funny when trout make this noise. Only seems to be trout that do this too, most of the smallmouth I catch never make noise like that.
Ben, Live on Idaho anytime you want to fish, I’m down. Retired or retarded as my buddies remind me and yes I do suck at fly fishing but that doesn’t stop me.
I have a question Ben, is the Colorado River good fishing below pumphouse recreational area? I am coming to the Denver area in mid September and have a chance for a float trip and want to see if my chances will be good during that time and location. By the way keep the great videos coming and I love specialtv.
It’s good, but mudslides have messed things up a bit lately. If you want to email me I can give you some guide recs. Thanks for subscribing to my channel at special!
Even if I did have a stream that loaded, I probably wouldn't do quite that good just cuz I suck at fly fishing. Actually, I know this would happen because it has. I've fished pools absolutely loaded with fish and only caught about half as many as you did
Awesome video! I feel ya on trying to find people to fish with. I have zero local pals that fly fish, but randomly met this dude at a campsite on the AuSable river in Michigan and spent three days catching native brooks and browns (and drinking way too much whisky) together a couple weeks ago. Have you ever done any night mousing?
This flows right into Denver's very own Casa Bonita.
Damn cliff divers getting in the way of my drift.
Haha! Literally watched the intro “and he didn’t eat it…”. I actually loled! Keep them coming!

I somehow knew you would have a spare beer for your mate.
Love your videos and knowledge.
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia.
Great time man. Thanks for hanging in splendid New Mexico!
"I'm kidding, it's not a tuna" fish does a mad tailwalk.... "it's a tarpon" .... nailed the commentary!

Great day on the water Ben. Those rainbows were stunning specimens and the creek was beautifully fishable. Thanks for the cool video.
You know Ben is a very entertaining and knowledgeable fly fisherman because he unashamedly drinks Lite Beer on camera and yet we still watch.
Man that was an awesome day on the water! Loved the beers with Ben section as well. Stay Huge!
This is actually in South Dakota and it’s Petit Fluer creek - which means “pretty valley” in Spanish. Cool video Ben!
petit means small
That is a seriously beautiful valley
Love your videos Ben. I share your pain for finding float partners. I'm in NoCo and have the summers off. If you're in a pinch give me a holler.
Gracias Benito! Which is French for I like your big hat 😂😂
Is that a Miller Lite? In the middle of Coors Country; for shame!

Catfish croak too
Love me some "buttery" waffles!
That good day, would be a good season, for some of us who suck at fly fishing.
Nice Dude!!!!
This is right up stream from Shotgun creek or maybe it’s down stream I get turned around in New Mexico.

"Good fly choice - like it matters" - ha!!!
Man all my Oregon rivers are banked with trees. I wanna go to New Mexico.
Just gotta go east brother, lots east of the Cascades that are more open
@@jimsiemens3453 your absolutely right. I was on the crooked a few weeks ago. Planning on John day and owahee next spring
I like waffles with syrup!
Sweet video
Love the video
Good video
Valle Bonita is Spanish for Pretty or Beautiful Valley. Thank you for your support of Galvan Reels.
theres like a thousand willow creeks thats hilarious
If I could live anywhere in the lower 48 for trout fishing, what would the best place be?
I'll float down the river with ya anytime. In Colorado as well
2:05. The Yellowstone looks really low. I would even consider using my tenkara rod there.
Is fish!
Pssheww *fish swims off after being released *
Ayye I'm from nm and I love to fly fishing
Your wife put you the garage now? (It’s a good space for a band, too, BTW. Good reverb acoustics in there.)
Dog's hair on your beer....hair of the dog???
Th second fish almost looked like a brown with the way it's spots were, but had the colors of a rainblow

What about buttery waffle for brown trout?
Me every time I go to tie on anything,
Where’d I put it?
Call me…..I will stand in your boat……and I can row even.
What time of year was this?

iMovie
HUGE! WHERE DID YOU SOURCE THE HAT? PLEASE!
Hugeflyfisherman.com
but it don't matter. we're fishing.
I'm always down to fish and have weekdays off and in Colorado 🤣 I literally suck at fly fishing though 🤣
If you wanna walk around the adirondacks and check some streams I'd be in.
RUclips makes us special….
If you’re not going to use a net then you have to start lipping them like old man Humphries. It’s the law.
valle bonito is french? That's funny. Surely you know it is spanish.
It's really sad that jokes and sarcasm are lost to so many people now.....
Dude.......net.
Valle Bonita not found
It’s part of the Nunya Drainage, in the Findurownwater Valley.

Fat shaming the fish.... that's the way to do it. Tell 'em how they like like it! haha
Hi ben
