I’m so surprised to be a fan of a plug-in company! This is a GREAT move. Please keep innovating and improving the bundle, I’m happy to pay for this monthly 🙏🏾💯✨
I put it on a kick, snare and bass. Great results. I liked what you mentioned towards the end about mixing with restrictions, using your ears, simplifying and paying more attention to levels instead of immediate, surgical EQ-ing.
i used to use the softube one (PE1C) but now in VMR i think i'll just use it inside lol. That's a good addition because i like how it improves my clients vocals ,i hope you add CL1B emulation too .And that's a killer Combo
were there any other plugins from the VMR or else where prior to the SD PE1 insert ? or just kick recored naked into the DAW ?and is there a master bus involved here ?
Con este nuevo complemento en el rack lo tengo todo😍espero que algún día también metan efectos tipo reverd, delay y darle poderes el trim como controlar el MID-SIDE💥
I like the demo, Its a shame that the kick example wasn't level matched at the end using trimmer. Dude introduced at least 4db of gain, of course it sounds better. Would be cool to hear what It does outside of making it sound better primarily because of the increased gain.
Nice one. Been a happy slate digital user for years now. I also have an educational channel (in french), the latest episode is about the Distressor and of course the FG stress. It'd be awesome to have your feedback. Cheers from the other side of the pond. ;)
@@SlateDigitalTV Steven did explicitly say it's not a Cl1B but an LA-2A hot rodded in another fashion so to say. It doesn't even have the separate attack/release. Weird comment from you guys tbh.
I've been away from music production for 5-6 years. Just getting back into everything now. I can't help but notice a distinct lack of Mr Steven Slate. Is he still around? I've never seen a Slate product launched without his face plastered all over it. Did he sell the company? This just feels so weird to me coming in years later 🤣
@@SlateDigitalTV thanks for the reply! Hopefully my comment came across as intended? (Meant zero offence or to sound like I was complaining. It was just a weird contrast for me after all these years lol).
Outdated? Never we will still be using pultecs 100 years from now.. they make jobs easier and ppl who are in the slate sphear of channel racks it helps complete the set of EQs
In fact, I have been thinking about this comment for a while. Pultecs are great. The opposite of surgical. 100% flavour EQ. Each emulation is different. Some are crunchier, some are smoother, some are aggressive, some are more subtle, some are clean, some are colourful… but what they all have in common is that the numbers mean nothing, there is no screen or feedback… just slap it on, turn knobs… does it sound better or worse? I love them as they are one of the few EQ’s on the earth where you literally _can’t_ dial anything with your eyes, even if you tried. It’s all ears, baby. That being said I played with this for a couple hours this afternoon. It’s not the smoothest, or most colorful, but it has the right “crunch” I expected from a) Slate and b) a Pultec. Not the best emulation, but not the worst. (Also, Logic Pro has a pultec emulation built in now, under “Tube EQ” and it’s not awful!)

We will keep pushing on!! Glad to have you here :)
I've been with Slate a few years and still find it very rewarding. Between Slate and SSL I feel like I have everything I need
How to say ‘PULTEC’ without ever mentioning Pultec
Phenomenal addition and walkthrough!
This is the reason I continue my subscription. Slate delivers!
Love to have you here!

We love to hear this! Thanks for watching
Thank you, a great tutorial for the new addition. Also I have had excellent results with the SSL plugins that I have used.
Thank you, glad to hear this!
Nice demo, good work on the plugin.

Them Drums Feel Good. Just updated my software can't wait to use the SD-PE1 on kick, snare and Bass

great way to emulate the original and implement modern controls. Well done!
Things like this brings me back to using Slate again.
Welcome back, we missed you!
Finally, been waiting for a Pultec model
Such a great tutorial.. Thankyou so much
Nice! Thank you
I wish each module of the VMR would have a small output control to adjust the level of each device.

We'll make sure to do that next time! Thanks for the feedback
@@SlateDigitalTVyou guys need to add output on plugins itself at least who has time to put trimmer after every plugin come on guys
Very cool...

Why don't you just let me buy a permanent license without ilok? I would buy a VMR bundle, for example, for $199. You must offer this option.
Congrats on becoming the 50,000th Pultec plugin maker.
Yes, but this one is in MY subscription.

Yes, Steven is no longer with Slate Digital as the company was acquired by Audiotonix!

SD instead of FG ???? no, keep it classic!
at last
cool plugin ...i will not do subscription with any plugin company.........i own the hardware ...i need to own my plugins aswelll......sorry
We offer this as a perpetual as well!
Eh..Seems like something no one needed. Lots of different ways to get the same result.
You obviously have no idea of the concept of the Pultec and the magic of the overlapping bands.
There must be SOME reason Pultec and Pultec clones are in so many top studios.
That’s a lot of explaining for an outdated EQ in 2024.

not outdated, timeless...
Pultec fucking slaps bud.

This timing, Pultec is…🫥
