i simply can't fathom how it took almost 9 years for the longest song record on monstercat to be broken. while wuxia is always going to hold a special place in my heart, this is EASILY one of the best songs released on the label, EVER. if you've ever wanted to visit another planet, this is the place to go. and i have to say, with all the drops and the tempo change towards the end, topped off with some of the best sound design i've ever heard, this has got to be the best song this year. i am incredibly ready for im25 now!

not the usual psytrance track, but for people who understand music and appreciate deeper tracks that are more than a kick and a bassline so this is it, insane amount of chord progressions, different tempos different basslines, different sounds, its like 5 tracks in 1.

I mean,Infected Mushroom is playing around Psy-Trance,not as a genre,but as a motherfucking sandbox. They're the only ones who actually turn it up to 11 so far.
And this is EXACTLY what I love about IM, basically every minute is a different song on it's own, so you get this whole story weaving feel to the entirety of the song, and it's a banger at every turn.
And oh my, the last 3 minutes with the switches is absolutely SUPERB.

IM + BLiSS = A Hell of a combo! We need more collaborations like this.
Okay but the harmony in this is so freaking incredible. This might sound like a bunch of nonsense to anyone who doesn't geek out about music theory like I do, but; I love the (i - bV/Tritone Sub) vamp sequencing down by whole steps in the opening (0:28), and again at 3:46! (And probably many more places)! So many classical musicians bash electronic music for being simple or harmonically primitive so it's really amazing to find a group like Infected Mushroom (and BLiSS of course!) who prove those people wrong time and time again. Masterful producers, AND composers!

Yeah, exactly! I honestly never saw that BPM change coming, but if you think about it, the execution of it was extremely noticeable, yet expertly done. It sounds Ike the track kept up its triplet flow, but they used that to change the tempo entirely, if that made any sense.
For almost 9 years, Wuxia by Mitchell Claxton was the longest song on Monstercat, with duration of 9:37, but now Infected Mushroom and Bliss have beaten this record, welcome back guys
bliss on mushrooms was off by 6 seconds so they decided to one-up it 2 collabs and nearly 4 years later lol

We know IM from their long songs, this one over 10 minutes, but all of their songs are full of energy and crazy turns, and every part of each song is original and unique. Everything they create turns into a journey. A style IM has mastered, and has made them extraordinarily special throughout the entire 25+ years they've been producing music. Loving these cookies!
The Messenger is my all time fave! I love the length of the song and every twist and turn it takes truly tells a story in my mind that is so epic 😍

I saw Infected Mushroom live like 13 years ago when they were touring for The Legend of the Black Shawarma and it was one of the best shows of my life. They even came out to meet people on the floor after the show, and they were super nice guys! I think that I might still have hearing damage in my right ear after being in the right-front row of that show right next to the speakers, but it was totally worth it lol. Definitely go check them out!

It's like the cookie is made from all the ingredients that made up the best sounds from older albums. I can definitely hear influences from Legend of the Black Shawarma, Vicious Delicious, Return to the Sauce and BP empire in particular. Face has been melted.
