Jack, thank you so much for this! The King Kong Encounter is my favorite theme park attraction of all time. I was lucky enough to experience it many times while it was in operation. A lot of the pictures and clips you include here, I've never seen before! Until this video, I had never seen the "proof of concept" head Bob Gurr and gang built and I had never seen the footage with Jonathan Winters. Thank you!

The King Kong Encounter was my first introduction to Kong and it really left an impression on me.
Nice video Jack!!! The season is getting even better now! I hope that we get to see Allanna fight as 18 in her Cell Saga outfit, she looks great in it (as well with the classic first outfit too), but even if it isn't for this season, it could be cool for other videos 😃
Great job on this. They even used some of the universal attractions in the late 70s television shows like the bionic woman as well as part of the universal California tour would drive by the television shows in production. You could watch shows being filmed as part of the tour
Man, I wish Kongfrontation were still at Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida. Ironic coming from a person who wasn’t born in America and didn’t ride it but it looks awesome.
Wow I’m absolutely speechless. Such a great video, loved every minute of it! What a treat to have Bob Gurr speak and give insight about his work and also show so much love for Kong. I never got to see this attraction growing up in the 2000’s sadly, but if I could travel back in time for just 1 hour. I would love to go on this ride during its heyday and nothing more. Looking forward to part 2!

Say what clips did you use for this video for the attraction this time? I mean I know some clips, but what of the 86 attraction previews and celebrities with Kong himself? I recognized Christopher Reeve and the original Ann, Beetlejuice, Elvira, and Evila, but not the others I'm afraid.

A bit sad Jack. Well, I heard this from Big bird who heard this from Popo, who heard it from pit who intern got a letter from parakarry at a convention I met all of them there. I mean two of them are my comfort characters anyways but apparently they’re still is something that survives and I’ll trade it with you.
