Need to chill on the Flood they aren't THAT bad. Maybe on legendary sure but you just gotta have patience on Flood levels if not they swarm you it's as simple as that!
Me too but Gaming Pastime has an unprecedented amount of hate for the flood. His reviews in Halo 1-3 are pretty good until he gets to the flood segments of Halo. Then again you're right everyone does have their own preference.
The first game in the series that I've played. Not the best though as many claim it to be. That title would go to the first game in my opinion. BTW to answer your question, 343 only remade the first two games for their 10th Anniversary. It's sad that they never did remake the third game because I'm sure it would have looked as absolutely beautiful like the second game's remake.
I've always maintained that Halo 1 was the best. I switched from a PS2 to Xbox in ~2003 and literally only had Halo for about 2 months. I still decided at that time to sell my PS2 and entire library of games to jump over to Xbox with that game. It was so fun to play through, even if a little repetative. The progression of levels meant it was totally fun to complete the game, restart and just play through again. Veteran and co-op made it endless hours of fun. H2 in retrospect I'm starting to appreciate for the really solid presentation, music, cinematics and all of the gameplay enhancements it introduced. At the time I was a bit let down with the Arbiter and the fact you don't fight on earth for long (and it's not the last stand scenario the hype built up). I would say it is likely the second best of the main trilogy. And I actually really love ODST and Reach as solid companions. I'd actually go so far as to say I may like both of these more than H3.
Halo community at its best man. Halo and fp's were and never will be as good as this was. Also, the flood aren't even that bad. You just don't understand how the flood work, The flood are supposed to swarm.
The halo 3 intro is the coolest way to introduce a character like master cheif, literally fallung from orbit to just stand up and start winning the fight
Seriously I've been watching your videos for the past 3 days now and I still have a lot more to watch what the fuck you must have the craziest work ethic
I would agree that The Covenant are FAR more enjoyable to fight, especially in Halo 1 and Halo 2, but in Halo 3 I really found there to be many improvements, there were far more Flood but they were far easier to kill and the way they broke apart and crumbled after killing them with a brute shot or rocket launcher I found extremely satisfying. The variety found through the introduction of the Flood pure forms added variety to the Flood as they aren't all just charging at you at the same speed. The spike flood aren't nearly as annoying as you'd suggest, they just take another tactic to dispose of. Also Rocket Flood were completely removed aside from one at the very end of Haalo, which I've never been killed by as it doesn't shoot, it kinda just supplies you with a fun weapon to use against the rest of the flood. The Flood in Halo 3 also came a long way from Halo 1 and 2 as they don't spawn wave after wave out of the walls again and again like 12 times like in The Library, Keyes, The Oracle, Sacred Icon, Quarantine Zone and High Charity. In Halo 3 its usually one and done, you kill all the flood in the room and move on which is MUCH more satisfying. I'm not saying they;'re as good as The Covenant, they're still a worse enemy, but I found Halo 3 Flood to be a massive improvement and actually quite fun to fight against.
I agree they are somewhat satisfying to kill. But with the Covenant as smart as they are, the encounters with the Flood are just a downgrade and the gameplay turns into a zombie shooter. I respect your opinion and I'll agree to disagree about the Flood in Halo 3. They are atrocious. Sniping Flood? Really? Cortana is easily the worst mission in the entire series. The Library is second. I have no issue with their role in the plot. But gameplay-wise, I find them to be awful.
I love the Flood but I totally get why some people would be less excited by them. They are fairly tedious to fight, though Im not sure what the solution is when theyre a relentless, ravenous zombie horde essentially
Thanks for uploading this review earlier then I expected. Good luck man I hope you blow up. After you do all the other reviews you would like to do, could you consider Halo: Reach? I would love to hear your thoughts on it!
Why so much hate for the flood? The flood missions were always some of my favorites, I like a change up from the standard covenant engagements. The music and the cutscenes with the flood bring a really great horror element to the atmosphere, and Halo does atmosphere really well. I love how an alien apocalypse is basically standard warfare, and then the flood show up and it turns to a full blown zombie alien apocalypse. Maybe it’s my bias from playing the game as a kid, but I always loved the flood. Also a side note, I started the campaign on legendary recently and haven’t gotten to the flood part yet. But thus far I’m getting destroyed by the covenant. Damn plasma grenades.
There's a chance of The Master Chief Collection going to PC at some point, they've been hinting at a PC version for a while now, plus it makes sense with Halo Infinite coming out 2020+, doubt it'll see a 2019 release with the wording on their posts. MCC Update blog 1? mentioned that they've heard fans loud and clear, but their focus for now is fixing the game, so maybe at gamescom there'll be an announcement. They're also /trying/ to bring support for mods from Halo: Custom Edition to MCC so if they're able to get that working, I don't imagine getting MCC ported to PC with the MStore due to the whole UWDP? i forgot the name of it system Microsoft put in place, and IIRC the update coming out pushes MCC onto that service, sort of...for the servers. Granted, it could be nothing, but it'd make sense business wise, they've mentioned fixing MCC is expensive, very expensive to say the least, and that they've shifted most of their focus to help fix it. MCC isn't a console seller anymore, most people who wanted to play Halo for the first time have already done that, so fixing the game will only really help people which loved Halo 1-3's MP, 4 isn't really loved all that much so that'll probably remain dead or at least, on life-support. I think to try and come back from the costs of fixing a game just for a medium sized crowd would just be a PC release, I couldn't care if it was on the MStore, I just want to play Halo 1-3 on PC with KB+M and friends which never got to experience the franchise.
I see everyone criticising your stance in the flood and personally I don't hate the flood but say you're wrong or somthing is to miss the whole point of the review. It's not to reaffirm your own opinion or hear what you bwana hear but to get somone elses take on it. Honestly it's kinda interesting to see Somone who doesn't like the flood and it's not liken ours blind hate you do have your reasons and that's nice, good review! Hope you get more attention.
If the flood could have used some basic tactics combined with wave attacks, it would have made the fights against them tense and satisfing, similar to the warhammer 40k orks, lore wise they are zombies but gameplay wise they are one shot kill filler content. Shame because in terms of gameplay the creatures have potential.
Personally, I don't mind the flood. But I can see why people despise, dislike or feel neutral towards them, I enjoy fighting them, but one thing I'll agree on is, screw the pure-flood forms. Stalker's are okay, but the other two were awful choices.
I made it my priority to grab the PS3 back in the day. Missed out on Halo 3-Reach. I managed to play the first two levels at a friends house and wasn’t impressed. The character models were trash to me. That said, now that I have a 360, I’m playing threw these games. My opinion has changed, this is a solid game. Just wish the Arbiter had a few missions, that surprise came out of nowhere in Halo 2. The Chief is a bad ass, but the arbiter has more depth imo. Also the dual magnums don’t fire the same as I remember in Halo 2. It’s a shame they scrapped dual wielding after this. Dual wielding was groundbreaking in 2004, with using both triggers to fire each gun respectively. I’m not afraid to admit I prefer the Halo 4 campaign over this though. Halo 3 has the better story still. The multiplayer is fun, even though I’m not good at it. Its also close to being dead. Saddens me I missed out on the community at its apex.
Indeed it is. And, no, I'm not a huge fan of zombies. Although, there are a few zombie games I enjoy. The Covenant AI is easily the highlight of the early games. They're a lot more fun to fight. If I wanted to shoot mindless enemies I could play any zombie game or a lot of other shooters. I addressed this in our recent Feedback video.
Do u at least like the art style of the flood? The flood r one of the most memorable enemies of the franchise. They might be in Halo Infinite based on the info we got from the teaser
I respect their role in the lore. If this wasn't a video game, I would have no issue, really. I don't mind their appearance. I don't like how they change up the gameplay.
I really hated Halo 3 and it's probably the reason I didn't bother paying ODST or Reach back in the day, but I'm going to try ODST and Reach soon enough. The Flood, and what felt like a sloppy campaign overall made me apathetic to the whole thing at the time.
Honestly? Not a biggest fan of Halo 3. I felt like story and characters were kind of meh, but maybe it's because Haol 3 was my first Halo. Also, not a biggest fan of co-op in this game, because it's somewhat basic and kind of overpowered. I definitely like RE, AoT and GoW co-op more.
Need to chill on the Flood they aren't THAT bad. Maybe on legendary sure but you just gotta have patience on Flood levels if not they swarm you it's as simple as that!
SirMaliceCallus I love the flood. I guess everyone has their own preference.

spartan 171 Ik this video has nothing to do with this game. But your comment makes me think he must love Half Life 2 because of what you said
The flood were always my favorite parts of the halo games lol, flood missions felt kindof like a horror game
The first game in the series that I've played. Not the best though as many claim it to be. That title would go to the first game in my opinion. I cant believe you hate the flood, when this was released the flood was my brother and i's best parts
Halo community at its best man. Halo and fp's were and never will be as good as this was.
Also, the flood aren't even that bad. You just don't understand how the flood work, The flood are supposed to swarm.
Yeah and?
49mozzer
And what?
Arry yes but for him it's bad AI and lazy while I disagree I perfectly understand his complaints.
Doesn't make them any less boring to fight.
The covenant ship master is rtas from halo 2 btw
Yeah. He's awesome.
The halo 3 intro is the coolest way to introduce a character like master cheif, literally fallung from orbit to just stand up and start winning the fight
i hope not to gain any hate here but i love the flood specially the library on halo ce, such a shoot gallery
Great work! No idea how you pump em out so fast!
Most reviews are completed months in advance. I think the original Halo review was completed in Nov or Dec.
Seriously I've been watching your videos for the past 3 days now and I still have a lot more to watch what the fuck you must have the craziest work ethic
as always enjoying the reviews keep up the great work
The flood are great man
The Flood aren't that bad, I don't understand where this negativity is coming from to be honest.
The Covenant are enjoyable to fight and have excellent AI. Then you get to the Flood where it all goes to shit.

Halo: Reach review is already planned for release. ODST, Reach, 4, and 5 will all be covered.
Just finished the video, spot on review. Nice to hear you're covering the whole series man
I need to get an Xbone and get this collection. Halo is a series I've always wanted to play, just never had a console to play them on.
Ultima It’s an excellent FPS franchise for the Xbox, recommend it fully.
Greatest FPS trilogy ever made. Blows the modern day COD and Battlefield out the water. Campaign and multiplayer are iconic.
Now it's on PC
@@duoge9139 Yeah, been playing on PC as they come out.
Pssst. Halo Infinite will have the flood...
Another great review dude!
You really hate the Flood don't you? That Library level in the first Halo must have given you PTSD or something lol
Will you ever review Fable
Sure
Why does the Radar Jammer only scramble your radar? Should it scramble the Covenant's radars? You are using the jammer, it shouldn't affect you!
Actually if you play Halo wars there is more flood
But halo wars is RTS
Why so much hate for the flood? The flood missions were always some of my favorites, I like a change up from the standard covenant engagements. Because their dumb as shit an just mindlessly bumrush you? Not everyone wants their shooter to suddenly turn into a zombie survival game.
I honestly never played Halo 3 campaign before. I owned a PS3 back then. Are there any plans for them to release a PC version?
I know people have requested it and they keep responding with typical PR statements. Can't really say.
There's a chance of The Master Chief Collection going to PC at some point, they've been hinting at a PC version for a while now, plus it makes sense with Halo Infinite coming out 2020+, doubt it'll see a 2019 release with the wording on their posts. The Master Chief Collection is now coming to Steam! 😁
:)
@@ryanmuller1994 Yeah, I played Halo 3 and will be playing Halo 4 soon...on PC! :D
MCC pc hype!
Some sadistic bastard came up with the Flood. Wouldn't mind a Flood t-shirt, though. Y'know, to go with my jar jar t-shirt.

Halo Wars 2 adds the flood again. ;)
That's unfortunate.

Ranged Flood are the bane of my existence.
I can see that, especially on Legendary runs.
Gaming Pastime good lord ranged Flood are worse than sniper jackals and I like the Flood so that's saying a lot.
I made it my priority to grab the PS3 back in the day. Missed out on Halo 3-Reach. I managed to play the first two levels at a friends house and wasn’t impressed. The character models were trash to me.

fraggin plasma grenades! Hrmpf!
ohh the flood fans are not gonna like this
Cortana is one of the worst levels in Halo history
probably the only reason to get a xbox one for me.
WAY TOO SHORT!!!
the flood is suppose to rush and not take cover they are zombie!!!
I know what they're supposed to do and it's not fun.
U must not like Zombie games then if u don't like the flood. The core mechanics of the flood r any basic zombie games. I mean it's your opinion
Indeed it is. And, no, I'm not a huge fan of zombies. Although, there are a few zombie games I enjoy.

be prepared to be disappointed with halo 5 story
Good Shit
I have played through this game twice and I still bearly remember what the fuck happened in the campaign.

I’m betting the flood return in halo infinite
if the flood was clever like the covenant the flood will be wasted
The Flood are wasted. The Covenant are superior and actually enjoyable to fight.
