Rhoda's beautiful dark hair is back! She's looking beautiful again:) She also seems to be more comfortable as a single woman with each episode, and her mood is lightening up
Richard Masur (Nick) portrayed a humble hero is The Walton's. He's a gifted actor - drama and comedy. They are all great. It's refreshing to see Rhoda again -such a talented and lovely lady. RIP

I cant believe iI havent seen this one, there must be hundreds of scenes I havent , I am going to look forward to watching more, they are soooo funny .even now after 30 years(?) brilliant!
It's amazing the transformation Brenda has made since the very first episode!! She didn't look so great then. She looks beautiful now. Amazing what a difference hairstyle and a little makeup makes. Plus they plucked her eyebrows. That made a huge difference too.
@@MultiLisa10 He was not. Who told you Gary Levy was Brenda's cousin? He was established as Rhoda's neighbor in her apartment building-- no family connection there.

Why does Brenda put up with this buffoon? "I have nothing against your guts(8:53)." "No thanks, I've already got 'Lump-tee-dump' (13:29)." Great responses!
“Brenda lusted for Gary” would probably be a better phrase. They said they didn’t want to ruin their friendship by having Gary spend the night, so nothing really happened between them. Falling in love and lust are two very different things.
Because “ Nick” was comedy gold!!!!!!! And this is an excellent actor. Richard Masur is so good at tackling characters and I believe he was playing Nick Lobo and was a straight laced boyfriend of the mother on One Day at a Time at the same time!!!!!!! Plus he has been in many, many movies.
During the 1970s, my family doctor charged only around $2.75 for an office visit. That Nick Lobo guy sure played on alot of sitcoms back then. He usually played a jerk type.
Yes Nick is not likable to me. Not necessarily a jerk, but subject to get worse. But when Joe over reacts, its really hard to take. There is something about the realness and vulnerability of Rhoda that make the viewer become very invested in some unusual way. No wonder Rhoda and Joe got so many letters from people who wanted them together, etcetera...
Oh no, not that corney scrub Nick again. 🤦♀️ I must admit Nick is funny as hell, but Brenda should be getting with GARY!!! He's hilarious too!)
Rhoda like me doesn't want to hear about Nick Lobo----.or Joe; these girls were gorgeous, they couldve been paired with much more suitable men, not whiney baggage boys..

But medical bills were much more affordable and the hospitals had payment plans. When insurance got involved the prices skyrocketed, had to rip off and fill the greed. $500 ($2,122.18 in today's money) is a helluva lot of money to loan someone. I am not sure I would have risked it. The $50 Brenda was going to keep comes out to $212.22 today. What is with the braids in Nick's hair at 5:46 and a even more visible spot a few seconds later at 5:53. Is that a 70s style thing? Broken toe's heal themselves. The ER will do nothing but possibly give advice and maybe pain medication. I've broken the same toe three times... once going downstairs in my socks and forward went the toes.
I love when Brenda is trying to wave more light into the room from the refrigerator 😂😂😂 Her personality is so adorable
I appreciate sitcoms that incorporate lousy weather.
I love when it rains, snows, hails, anything inclement.
30 years on and second time around this is still funny.
Not
Yet 39 years later YOU are here watching it …. NOT PMSL 🔔🔚
So what you watching it for?
Rest in Peace you were just awesome
I just love this show. For me it got funnier as it went on.
Rhoda's beautiful dark hair is back! She's looking beautiful again:) She also seems to be more comfortable as a single woman with each episode, and her mood is lightening up
Yet she is completely unable to save her marriage.
I like it better without Joe, anyway.
The show producers must have realized her character is more interesting as a single woman.
''Everybody in here's a freak.'' LOL And the way Rhoda screamed and hit the doctor. Cracked me up.
Only $20 to see a doctor at an emergency room? Only in the 1970's!
$84.89 in 2019... still fairly cheap compared to an actual amount in New York City
@@johnny-becker in Texas several years ago lLike at least a decade ,it was $500 ! Maybe 2 decades. I would pass out if it were less than $100 !

Wow! Really 20.00 bucks? In the 70s That's So cool!!
There was an episode on all in the family where it was $400 to take out an appendix
How did they not crack up during this episode? Nick bouncing Rhoda on his lap is pure comedy gold. I LOVE Rhoda!!!!!!

Eduardo Corrochio l think he was also the president of The Screen Actors Guild at one time.
On ONE DAY AT A TIME.
The nurse, Tootie's real life mom:) Facts of Life
I LOVE Nick in this one! And l love when he calls Brenda Little Fox. Ah ha! And later he ALSO calls her "little one". We're both right!
I heard him say Little one.
@@maidenmarian1 Just watching it again and he definitely says "little fox". He's actually called her that before.
Rhoda has got to be the only window dresser in TV history.
Bleustar Crash .... It was a great job back in the day.

Rhoda makeup looks good.
Nick sounds black.

"I love strong women"
Trivia factoid: the ER receptionist is Chip Fields, mother of Kim Fields from Facts of Life. :)
All the guys they hired for this show together do not add up to one Joe.
And all of the women in the show don't add up to my second or third wife. In fact, some of them bring the total way down.

Average price for an X Ray is $170.00 now. It was $20.00 then....talk about inflation.
I couldn't imagine paying for healthcare
Carlton cracks me up lol.
Fun fact, the nurse is named Chip Fields. She’s Kim Field’s mother (and manager). Kenfield played Tootie in the Facts of Life.
At 23:52 Rhoda looks like the old Rhoda back in Minneapolis living above Mary Richards. It made me smile :) #ThisIsThe4thTimeIWatchThisSeries
