They Heard Screams From His Grave, So Dug it up and Found This! Sh. Ibn Baz -Punishment of the Grave
Sheikh Bin Baz is asked regarding strange occurrences at the grave of someone who did not used to pray, and was addicted to alcohol. He mentions that these types of occurrences are not uncommon, and begins to narrate a frightening story regarding someone who heard screaming from a grave.

The Sheikh mentioned that the one who does not pray shouldn't be buried in the Muslim graveyards.
This is based upon the opinion that leaving of the prayer is kufr (disbelief), and that the one who doesn't pray is considered a non-Muslim.
It's important to note that this is not an opinion invented by Sheikh Ibn Baz. Rather, this is the most popular opinion in the madhhab of Imam Ahmad, and if I remember correctly, there is one narration from Imam Ash Shafi'i that suggests he also supported this view.
In fact it is narrated that Ishaq Bin Rahawayh reported an ijmaa' (consenus) from the time of the sahaabah (companions) to his time that the one who doesn't pray is no longer a Muslim.
See this video, where Sheikh Ibn Baz explains the evidences of this opinion, and see the description of the video, which explains the rulings that arise based upon this opinion:

@Fawad Ahmed I'm not judging, it's personal experience , I don't know what they heard Or they lied .only Allah knows. U must know there is punishment in grave and it's indispensable. It's immaterial they heard or not ,

@Fawad Ahmed first things first their is no doubt prophet S A W is supreme upon all. I know unseen can't be seen by us . And punishment in grave is unseen. But we can't deny their is no torment I am only trying to emphasis on one thing which is grave is scarry and will cause sinners shout.... You are right and I am agree with you . More importantly I already know our their is no superior then prophet Muhammad PBUH only he had capacity to understand, percieve . These supernatural things. I am advising you not indulge into these debates , when it's sufficient for us there is severe punishment it's non sence to criticize someone. Maybe he heard someone crying . but he doesn't know it was jinn shayteen .

Remember the story of surah buruj? he was between Jesus and Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him right? he witnessed miracles and wasn't a prophet. the boys in the cave did too. people see things in dreams. Sahabas also witnesses miracles on their expeditions.

The first test of the afterlife will be that of the grave. Those who don't do well here will have a much harder time in the hereafter (akhirah). May Allah save all the believers from the torments of the grave and the hereafter, amiin.

Salih Bayraktutan, head of geology at Turkey’s Ataturk University, estimated the age of the ‘vessel’ at more than 100,000 years! “It is a man-made structure and for sure it is Noah’s Ark”, he said. The site was directly below the mountain of Al Judi, named in the Qur’an as the Ark’s resting place.
The remote site contained a buried, ship-like object, resting at an altitude of 2,300 meters. At 170 meters long and 45 meters wide, it conformed almost exactly to the 300 cubits by 50-cubit boat.

B5) Egyptologists translated hieroglyphs two prayers asking gods to bless "overseer of the stone masons of Amun Haman". (Amun is of their gods who has stone statues in Egypt.) This proves that Haman was in Egypt & he worked in construction. No mistakes in Quran.
These miraculous correction when archeologists uncovered these secrets after thousands of years shows no doubbt that the Quran is the word of Allah the only true Lord God Who is All Knowing. Allahu Akbar!
      ~~~
      There is also the Ignorant claim that Harun forefather of Mary is the same as brother of Musa so its a mix up... this is like saying Joseph of Genesis is the same as NT. The evangelical zionist cuhks need some shame!
      ~~~
B6) Quran 4 : 157 - ... their (boast), "We killed Messiah 'Îsa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared so to them,...
Mark 15 : 40, Luke 23 : 49 and Mathew 27 :55 all state the cruci - fiction had no witnesses, and John 19 later changed the story to remove simon carrying the cross and added witnesses.
Thesalonians 2 mentions how God sends the wicked are delusions as a punishment for their sins!
      Psalms 22 prophesised no crucifiction,
      1. My God, why hast Thou forsaken me? ...
21 Save me from the lion : -- & -- from horns of high places, Thou answered me!
John 17 : 3 & 4 - Jesus reaffirms Islamic monotheism & states the finishing of his mission after praying for the comforter , Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings on him and before the crucifiction.
B7) Bible has has footnotes admitting its changes, many of which show Islam was the original message in the bible...
Mark 16 : 9 nrsv onwards is an addition showing Jesus did not reappear & declare himself a global Prophet as Islam teaches.
Luke 3 : 22 nrsv has Jesus only a figurative son slave at baptism like David in Psalms 2 : 7 or like Adam in Luke 3 :38 as the Quran 3 :59 says the likeness of Jesus is that of Adam!
1 John 5 : 7 nrsv trinity verse is added on.
Mark 15 : 21 & 22 - talk about how Simon was forced to carry the cross and then a man was put on the cross, which later gospels hide...
So Jesus's sonship, trinity, crucifiction, and declaration of dying for sins are all not confirmed in the bible, thus proving Quran's claim on the bible as changed and Jesus's original message being Islam confirmed!
Quran 5 : 15 - O people of the Scripture (testaments)! Now has come to you Our Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) explaining to you much of that which you used to hide from the Scripture and pass over (i.e. leaving out without explaining) much. Indeed, there has come to you from Allah a light and a plain Book (this Qur'an).

You have misunderstood me and possibly the hadiths.
What you say about feeling safe from the punishment of Allah being a sin is true- hence why I wrote in sha Allah in my comment. The intercession you are talking about LEADS to one being saved from the punishment with the PERMISSION of Allah. I have never read surah mulk feeling safe from Allah's punishment, I don't know if He is going to accept from me.
Also the intercession could be referring to the hereafter- in that one is saved from the fire, we can't be sure. But I think a sahabi called it المانعة meaning the "preventor" from the punishment.

As Muslims, we believe in the punishment of the grave. There are many narrations which verify its authenticity. One such narration is: The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Seek Allaah's protection from the Punishment of the Grave, since the Punishment of the Grave is a fact/true." (Saheeh: At-Tabraanee in 'al-Kabeer' from Umm Khaalid bint Khaalid ibn Sa'eed ibn al-'Aas.)
Our righteous predecessors have mentioned many stories in this regard, some of which are as follows:
Ibn Abi'd Dunya (rahimahullah) mentioned that one of his companions said, “My brother died and I saw him in a dream. I said, "How was it when you were placed in your grave?" He replied,
"Someone brought me a fiery flame and if it had not been that someone else made supplication for me, I think he would have hit me with it.” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
Bashar b. Ghalib (rahimahullah) said, “I saw Rabia, on whose behalf I make frequent supplication, in a dream. She said to me,
"Bashar b. Ghalib! Your gifts have been brought to me on plates of light, covered in silken cloths."
I asked, "How can that be?" She replied,
"That is what the supplication of living believers is like. When they make supplication for a dead person, that supplication is answered for them on plates of light, veiled in silken cloths. Then they are brought to the dead person for whom the supplication was said and they are told, 'This is the gift of so-and-so to you.'” ” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
Amr bin Dinar (rahimahullah) said “The sister of one of the men of Medina died and he buried her. When he came back from the burial, he remembered that he had left something in the grave. He asked one of his companions to help him. His companion related that they had dug up the grave and found what they were looking for. Then the man said, "Let us dig further and find out what has happened to my sister." He lifted up one of the stones covering the burial cavity and found the grave filled with fire. He replaced it and filled in the grave again. Then he returned to his mother and asked, "What was my sister really like?" She replied, "Why do you ask about her when she is dead?" He said, "Tell me." She said,
"She used to delay the prayer and she also used to go to our neighbours' doors, put her ear to them, and then tell other people what they said." ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
One of the early Muslims said,
"We passed by a watering-place on the way to Basra. We heard the braying of a donkey and asked the people there what the braying was. They replied that it was one of the men who used to be with them whose mother had asked him for something and he had told her to bray like a donkey. Since his death, this braying had been heard every night from his grave.” ("The Soul journey after death" an abridgement of Ibn al-Qayyim's kitabar-ruh.)
The torment in the grave will vary according to the sins committed by the person in this world, whether he was a disbeliever or a disobedient Muslim. There are authentic narrations which describe this torment for the people who commit these sins. For example:
1 - Being struck with an iron hammer.
It was narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When a person is placed in his grave and his companions leave him, and he can no longer hear the sound of their sandals (footsteps), two angels come to him and make him sit up, and they ask him, ‘What did you say about this man Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)?’ He says, ‘I bear witness that he is the slave of Allaah and His Messenger.’ It is said, ‘Look at your place in Hell which Allaah has replaced for you with a place in Paradise.’” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, “And he sees them both. But as for the kaafir or hypocrite, he says, ‘I do not know, I used to say what the people said.’ It is said, ‘You did not know and you did not follow those who knew.’ Then he is struck a blow with an iron hammer between his ears and he screams a scream which everything around him can hear apart from the two races (of mankind and the jinn).” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1222.)
2 -7: Furnishings from Hell are prepared for him; he is clothed with fire; a door to Hell is opened for him; his grave is made narrow for him; he is struck with a great hammer which, if a mountain were to be struck with it, it would turn to dust; and he is given the tidings of torment in the Hereafter. Hence he will wish that the hour would never come.
Ahmad (17803) and Abu Dawood (4753) narrated that al-Baraa’ ibn ‘Aazib said:
"We went out with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for the funeral of a man from among the Ansaar. We came to the grave and when (the deceased) was placed in the lahd, the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sat down and we sat around him, as if there were birds on our heads (i.e. quiet and still). In his hand he had a stick with which he was scratching the ground. Then he raised his head and said, “Seek refuge with Allaah from the torment of the grave,” two or three times. Then he mentioned the soul of the believer and how he is blessed in his grave. Then he said: “But when the disbelieving slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him from heaven angels with black faces, bringing sackcloth, and they sit around him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death comes and sits by his head, and he says, ‘O evil soul, come forth to the wrath of Allaah and His anger.’ Then his soul disperses inside his body, then comes out cutting the veins and nerves, like a skewer passing through wet wool. When he seizes it, they do not leave it in his hand for an instant before they take it and put it in that sackcloth, and there comes from it a stench like the foulest stench of a dead body on the face of the earth. Then they ascend and they do not pass by any group of angels but they say, ‘Who is this evil soul?’ and they say, ‘It is so and so, the son of so and so, calling him by the worst names by which he was known in this world, until they reach the lowest heaven. They ask for it to be opened to them and it is not opened.” Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited (interpretation of the meaning):
“For them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle.” [al-A’raaf, 7:40]
He said: “Then Allaah says, ‘Record the book of My slave in Sijjeen in the lowest earth, and return him to the earth, for from it I created them, to it I will return them and from it I will bring them forth once again.’ So his soul is cast down.” Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited the verse (interpretation of the meaning):
“And whoever assigns partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.” [al-Hajj, 22:31]
He said: “Then his soul is returned to his body, and there come to him two angels who make him sit up and they say to him, ‘Who is your Lord?’ He says, ‘Oh, oh, I don’t know.’ They say, ‘What is your religion?’ He says, ‘Oh, oh, I don’t know.’ Then a voice calls out from heaven, ‘Prepare for him a bed from Hell and clothe him from Hell, and open for him a gate to Hell.’ Then there comes to him some of its heat and hot winds, and his grave is constricted and compresses him until his ribs interlock. Then there comes to him a man with an ugly face and ugly clothes, and a foul stench, who says, ‘Receive the bad news, this is the day that you were promised.’ He says, ‘Who are you? Your face is a face which forebodes evil.’ He says, ‘I am your evil deeds.’ He says, ‘O Lord, do not let the Hour come, do not let the Hour come.’” (This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Ahkaam al-Janaa’iz, p. 156)
8 - Being swallowed up by the earth.
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Whilst a man was dragging his lower garment out of pride, the earth swallowed him up and he will continue sinking into the earth until the Day of Resurrection.” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5345; Muslim, 3894)
9- The edge of the mouth being torn to the back of the head.
10- The head being smashed with a rock.
11- Being burnt in a tannoor oven
12- Swimming in a river of blood whilst being pelted with stones.

Two old ladies from among the Jewish ladies entered upon me and said' "The dead are punished in their graves," but I thought they were telling a lie and did not believe them in the beginning. When they went away and the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon me, I said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Two old ladies.." and told him the whole story. He said, "They told the truth; the dead are really punished, to the extent that all the animals hear (the sound resulting from) their punishment." Since then I always saw him seeking refuge with Allah from the punishment of the grave in his prayers.

أستغفر الله الذي لا إله إلا هو الحي القيوم وأتوب إليه
Astaghfir ullah-alladhi la ilaha illa Huwal-Haiyul-Qayyumu, wa atubu ilaihi x 3 times
I seek the forgiveness of Allah, there is no true god except Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self- Subsisting, and I turn to Him in repentance)
      Hadith
Our Prophet Muhammed SAWS said who say this his or her sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield (while he was engaged in fighting for the Cause of Allah)
There are some conditions for repentance which we need to follow
      1. Admit our mistake / sin to Allah
      2. Regret the sin we did
      3. Seek Allah's forgiveness and repent sincerely back to him (This Dua'a)
      4. Make a promise to Allah that you'll do your best not to repeat this sin again
In case you fail as human
      Good news once again 🌹
Sincerely follow the above steps and repent again

And i come from a family strong in faith and raised by religious parents. Yet i know my parents doesn't do it. 99% sure of this. And about surah 19:71, its NOT saying that all muslim will go to hell and then get saved by it. NO. it says PASS through it. AND its not just muslims, BUT ALL HUMAN KIND. WE will ALL pass the bridge known as SIRAT bridge where underneath it is hellfire. The strongest of believers and most righteous will pass sirat bridge in a flash, while some will have to crawl pass it. While the ppl damned to hell, will fell off into hell. Some muslims will then later be saved from hellfire after they went through their punishment. This is true. This ppl will be known as the poor ppl of Jannah. They are muslims who were tortured in hellfire for a period of time because their sins outweigh their good deeds. They will eventually be save from hellfire because even tho their sin is greater than their good deeds, they still are muslims who had faith in Allah. U should NOT aim to be amongst these ppl, because who knows how long u will rot in hellfire for before Allah saves you? I heard from one of mufti menk speeches that a single day in our afterlife and heaven is equal to a thousand years on earth.

These miraculous correction when archeologists uncovered these secrets after thousands of years shows no doubbt that the Quran is the word of Allah the only true Lord God Who is All Knowing. Allahu Akbar!

Allah forgives all sins. So either these people did not repent or they wronged someone and the person did not forgive them. Always ask Allah to forgive you and ask others to forgive any wrongs you may have caused them. Ego may ruin your grave, judgement day and place in paradise. It's not worth it at the end of the day, keep your nafs in check, dont wrong others, watch what you say and what you do, give charity regularly, do your daily salah even if its only the fard, and always be repenting. May Allah forgive us all Ameen 😰

You don’t bury a person who’d didn’t pray in a Muslim graveyard? Yet there are people who call themselves Muslims, pray 5 times a day, fast and give to the needy, yet they are the dogs of the world. Just go ask some of these wives out there what they think about their husbands.
Why shouldn’t you bury a man who calls himself a Muslim but forgot prayer. Maybe he prayed when he was younger and that is between Allah and him. Not between you and him.
I’ve never heard of this in my life. If we start creating these types of rules and one day well be in your grave and someone will find a reason to betray you.
Maybe these people did pray behind closed doors before they died.
Have some respect for the all seeing. It’s not our job to classify who is a Muslim and who is not. Maybe the family was resentful towards this man. We don’t know is the point.
It breaks my heart to hear a sheikh say such a thing.
The prophet SWA had a Sahabee that used to drink. Not once did he condemn him to hell in the Hadiths. Not once.
Yet you would go against the Prophet SWA and not bury him like a Muslim.
IstaghfurAllah how horrible you are to your own people.

This is all confusing and confronting to say the least, I agree with you brother why should other men of the same faith be correct in judgement for things of such significance?
How many falsehoods are manipulated into the religion for the advancement of certain sects of Islam. This all seems to come from a strict ideology that I have seen and experienced since my reverting. How can the actions and thought process of modern communal Islam be based around judgeful and prejudice behaviour? Is the Mercy of Allah not demonstrated in the opening of the start of the beautiful Quran? Are we not told all sins are capable of being forgiven except Shirk? So why is this not the first thought process for the modern Islamic practitioners, except it is not! Judgement is for Allah not for men who become self righteous from rhetoric doctrine that seems far from the principals of a beautiful and dignified way of living.
We all will be tested, why won't the humanity of our beings prevail over manipulation of counterproductive teachings to the endevour to become better Men, therefore better practitioners in Islam.
It seems knowledge increases ignorance in some instances but not always.
who is to judge which tests are allocated to whom beside

People are being scholars in the comment that this can not happen punishment cannot be heard bla bla.....
    Allah is capable of everything
You didn't heard any voice from any grave that doesn't mean there is no punishment or others can't hear it.
May be Allah want someone to hear it and by that may Allah wants to guide him.
Islam is not based on people's logic
Liberals want logic for every rulling in islam

There's nothing to be afraid of, there's no fear against Allah because if your heart is good and pure, if your thoughts are pure.. You've got nothing to fear. If you don't love him, he will still love you, he will still be there for you and he forgives all Sins, he is the greatest and only ALLAH is able and will judge your heart and your soul on judgement day. Don't believe what Sheikhs or other people are telling you you should do, because they are not in the place to judge, indeed they are worshippers but no messengers, because the only true messenger of Allah is Mohammed (peace be upon him)

This sheikh sound too rigid for my liking,I like to see a clear statement either in qur'an or sunnah (sahih hadith) that "Janazza or ghusl should not be done to the one who ignore his salaah" & that "he should not be buried in a Muslim graveyard"?...this kind of behaviour of so called imam's create extremism in the society, they should fear Allah swt and not look on other peoples misdeeds rather be humble and forgiving to others..inshaAllah

      As salamu alaykum
This Sheikh mainly follows the Hanbali madhhab. The Hanbali madhhab states that the one who doesn't pray is not a Muslim. So it's not a new statement; we have it in our own Hanbali texts and it goes all the way back to Imam Ahmad.
The Sheikh has mentioned much evidence before for this opinion, such as the statement of Abdullah Ash Shaqeeq (The tabi'ee - student of the sahaaba): "The companions of the messenger of Allah didn't think leaving any action was kufr, apart from salah".
      And Allah knows best.

So called imams? Brother shaikh ibn Baz rahimahuLlah rahmatan wasi'an he died around 30 yrs ago and was one of the 4 greatest of this area.. an inheritor of the prophets alayhum afdal as salat wa salam.
Allah knows best about the burial. I thought that he can be prayed on but not by the Imam to show ppl he was not on a correct path. So many these days do believe in the Quran the Word of Allah al Athim and the prophet Mohammed salla Allahu alayhi wa salem but they do not pray...
      Allah ihdihom tariq as sahih

@@subulassalam6067 The Hanbali view is that a person still remains in the fold of Islam until a qadi declares them a kafir (for leaving a prayer) and that does not happen today. Hanbalis today themselves would not refuse to bury a person with the Muslims unless a qadi made takfir on the person not praying so it's not so black and white. Shaikh Ibn Baz (rahimahullah) was not issuing this ruling based on the Hanbali madhab but because he himself held this view.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Sunabihi: Abu Muhammad fancies that witr prayer is essential. (Hearing this) Ubadah ibn as-Samit said: Abu Muhammad was wrong. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ peace and blessings) say: Allah, the Exalted, has made five prayers obligatory. If anyone performs ablution for them well, offers them at their (right) time, and observes perfectly their bowing and submissiveness in them, it is the guarantee of Allah that He will pardon him; if anyone does not do so, there is no guarantee for him on the part of Allah; He may pardon him if He wills, and punish him if He wills.

Biggest fraudsters can be the ones who pray 5 times a day and are very noble and Islamic in their domain names. I was conned out of 10 thousand pounds from a very religious family. Grandad was a Hafiz, parents also, thought at mosques. Kid was Hafiz. Screwed over and not paid for my work like many others who worked with this family. Whilst they lapped it up in big houses. If these people are allowed to buried in Muslim graveyards then I think most other Muslims do too. You can't pick and choose who gets buried in Muslim graveyards by heresay. What else are you going by?
